It looks like things are starting to break for all of us who were in the middle of filing our DCF when the Adam Walsh Bomb was dropped on us. This is from the Nicaraguan Embassy in Managua, the paperwork is being forwarded to our local USCIS in Tegucigalpa, Honduras
"Just today, we received the instructions for our post. We are not going to transfer cases to CIS. We will send the information to the CIS local office located in Tegucigalpa. I do not know how long they will take to process our request.
I will contact you as soon as we have an answer for your wife."
Thank you,
For me this is a big relief, there was talk of sending everything to the States, for me it would have been the Texas USCIS office. A nine month wait at least. However, the Embassy here in Nicaragua is small and so is the USCIS in Honduras, I am thinking it might take just a couple of weeks to get back on track with the final interview. I think this is good news for all of us.
