Well, just got back from our weekend away and checked CSC site and we were touched on the 10th, so something is happening at long last.

had a fantastic weekend, went fell climbing and nearly got myself stuck at a particularly tricky part, but made it in the end. Once at the top, the views were unbelievable, all over Coniston Water and the villages. Fantastic

Trouble was, and big trouble!!! it snowed over night and there must have been between 18" and 2 foot of the stuff. Picture postcard beautiful but the darn batteries had run out on my camera so couldn't take any snaps

Was the most harrowing experience trying to get out of the village and up towards the motorway, 15 miles of country lanes, up and down dale all the time the snow was getting thicker and I had to take the hills in first, at times we were all over the place, good job nobody was coming down!!! It took some real skillful driving and I must say I am well pleased with myself. Must admit hubby made a good job of trying to clear the road in front of me to help- just so the car could get a bit of a grip !!

Finally made it to a good A road and thought we were home and dry so to speak,( even though the snow ploughs and gritters hadn't been out yet,) to find a massive traffic jam and everybody was turning round and going back again. A wagon had jack knifed and blocked the road so nobody was going up or down, tried another route but that was also blocked with snow. There was a garage with a nice restaurant, obviously packed by this time (owner was well pleased) after a coffee it was obvious that the road had been cleared of the wagon and we could start again. All together took me just over 4 hours to do what should have been 1 and a half hours.

Still it was an adventure and to come home and find we have been "touched" Feel good all ove now great to see all the touches and approvals coming out of CSC

Yes CSC did some magic this weekend. Your time is next. Hope we hear of an approval this week.

Thanks Dixie must admit I am feeling pretty good about my driving but must admit my heart was in my mouth so much of the time and by the time we reached a road that had been gritted and more or less cleared my legs were practically dead!!!

I hear ya with driving in bad conditions.......Im a shocker. The last time that happened to me with bad weather, I was so uptight my legs cramped lol Did not help the situation at all.

I certainly hope your touch turns out to be as fortunate as my two touches! I can't even imagine waiting 6 months!!!
