I'm filling out my fiance SS-N form and it's asking us to check one of the box either my fiance an alien allowing work or not. She doesn't have her EAD yet, should I check the one not allowing to work?

And how long does the I-94 last? her doesn't have an expire date on it.

I notice that she need another form of ID, but I didn't read about this until today. I'm thinking about bringing her translated birth certificate in. Hope this work.

Having a SSN is not authorization to work, SSA is not the department that authorizes an alien to work, Homeland Security (USCIS) does. You need either EAD or Green Card to work. The SSN Card states quiet clearly "Valid with Work Authorization Only" An employer will look at the card and then ask for proof of work authorization (EAD, or I-551 Green-Card)

A K-1 I-94 expires 90 days from entry into the country. The K-1 Holder can get a SSN within 76 days of entry by showing the visa, and I-94, after that can get SSN after getting EAD, or Green-Card.

Thanx a lot. We went to the SS office and brought the ss-5 form and my fiancee passport with the I-94 and her visa in it. We'll be getting it soon.
