Victoria says 'no visas' ruling for staff puts her 3 children's safety at risk

TEARFUL Victoria Beckham has accused US visa chiefs of putting her family at risk by banning her most trusted minders from America.

Friends say mum-of-three Posh, 32, is "incandescent with rage" over the bar on eight of her elite security staff.

And one close pal told The People last night: "Victoria cannot understand why they are playing fast and loose with her well-being.

"She does not believe there is a single valid reason for excluding her minders."

Victoria's superstar hubby David is due to join top US soccer side LA Galaxy in the spring in a five-year deal worth an amazing £130million.

And friends say Posh is terrified that she and sons Brooklyn, seven, Romeo, four, and Cruz - two this month - could be targeted by a kidnap gang.


Posh and Becks, 31, assembled a loyal team of minders after undercover cops foiled THREE kidnap plots against their family between 2000 and 2004.


And the couple planned to take the team with them when they move to Los Angeles - which could be as early as April.


But US immigration bosses will not give visas for jobs they claim Americans could do just as well.


A source close to the Beckhams said: "Victoria trusts very few people to look after her and her family and if they are attacked she will hold these bloody-minded visa bosses entirely responsible.


"She knows that with David's enormous salary at LA Galaxy - as well as America's relaxed attitude to guns - they are going to need the highest possible level of protection."


Posh and Becks had hoped that their worldwide fame would mean the visa applications would be nodded through. But sources revealed the opposite may be true.


One said: "Victoria thinks they have been singled out.


"There has been so much furore abou them moving to the States that their visa applications were scrutinised in more detail than usual.


"And Posh feels they have been turned down just because it's her."


Victoria even turned to showbiz pal Sharon Osbourne for help.


Sharon and rock legend hubby Ozzy split their time between mansions in Buckinghamshire and America - but use the same team of bodyguards in BOTH countries.


The source said: "Sharon told Posh she might have to pay extra to get the visa applications through but that it should be OK.


"So Victoria was livid when officers point-blank refused to approve visas for her security team."


Now the former Spice Girl is set for a showdown with US immigration officials in a bid to get the decision overturned.


Apal said: "Victoria's team have been with her for years and are like family.


"The thought of having to cope without them has left her terrified and heartbroken.


"She just can't bear the idea of having new bodyguards she doesn't know or trust."


The ban also covers about eight domestic staff including nannies and a butler.


Furious Victoria is due to fly to LA on Wednesday.


Once there, she will confront visa chiefs over their decision to ban her minders, who earn more than £1,500 a week each.


Some of her team were trained by the SAS.


And they have been with the family throughout their stay in Spain where David has been playing for Real Madrid.


Victoria says her sons look on the minders as uncles because they are always around.


Friends say Victoria will be distraught if she cannot take them to the States.


But one pal added: "It's going to be especially hard for the kids."


Meanwhile, Posh and Becks have launched a hunt for an American security team in case they lose their battle over the visas.


They have used US bodyguards on previous trips across the Atlantic - but having strangers on a full-time basis will be a real wrench for the whole family.


The couple have signed up with a string of specialist agencies who hire out minders to some of the biggest stars in LA.


A source said: "They want to get their staff in place as soon as possible and have already started a frantic search.


"There are agencies in LA who deal with this kind of thing and they have already been drafted in to help.


"They deal with all the vetting and security checks to make sure they get the best calibre possible."


But security fears are not Posh's only concern - she is also desperately seeking somewhere for the family to live in the LA area.


She has already looked in vain at about THIRTY mansions in some of the city's swankiest suburbs.


As The People revealed, the one she wanted was a luxury villa owned by pop queen Madonna. But Madge has decided not to sell.


Victoria is known to have looked at a £10.5million property once owned by TV star Chris Evans and Dr Who girl Billie Piper.


Victoria viewed it twice before declaring it was too small.


She then spent 30 minutes at a villa in the gated complex where singer Britney Spears has a pad.


Neighbours include Friends' beauty Jennifer Aniston and film legend Jack Nicholson.


And she checked out two mansions near Elizabeth Taylor's home in Bel Air.


Posh will try again this week on her trip to the US.


Asource said: "She has taken it upon herself to find a home but it's been a real nightmare.


"Security is a priority and Victoria wants somewhere she feels happy and safe. She hasn't found the perfect home yet."

I would love to see a showdown between old Posh and visa officials. USA virtually invented celebrity "minders" so she should have no problems with hiring a new bunch. If she loves her security detail in the UK so much then why not stay there???? Why?? because she wants to be a huge star in every country in the world. Lets face it she has exhausted the UK and people are now totally bored with Posh and Becks. She needs a new audience. Anyone want to place a bet that within a month she will be photographed on the town with Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan, and hitting the town with the new Mrs Cruise (with new US security detail in tow of course).......

I'd love to see that as well!!!!!! Posh seems to think she is above the immigration rules and i do hope she gets a slap of reality in the face regarding immigration!!!

As you say - Boo-F-ing-Hoo!! It's not as though the silly bint will have a problem hiring new security people in LA - I have a feeling she won't exactly be unique in her requirement for a sodding great entourage of minders...

I really really really cannot convey just how much I loathe VB, but I have to say when kids and safety are a concern, they should be allowed to come. I wouldn't want my children to have to start over with new ppl after building a relationship with the minders that they have now.

I'll tell ya why (you knew THAT was coming...LOL), they are publicity whores, they crave the limelight. They want to be world famous and adored by millions. There is only one way they can do that...

HaHa, VB is such a spoiled, arrogrant wench. While I understand that her children are close with their minders, they made the choice to move to the US.

You can't just expect that because you are a celebrity you can do whatever you like and that rules don't apply to you.

It nice, for once, to see the legal system treat celebrities like everyone else.... well kinda. I'm sure it was a snap for V and B (plus children) to get visas. I highly doubt their waiting in a tedious queue like the rest of the world.

Anyways, LA is full of security people. Suck it up and find a new entourage.

Also, it isn't enough that the UK and Europe fawn all over them, they'd like to see if they could get America to do so as well. Of course they are forgetting one very important detail: the US isn't as interested in soccer as the rest of the world. So unless Becks takes up American football, baseball, basketball or hockey any time soon, it isn't likely. V might have a better shot at stardom if she continues to remain up Katie Holmes' a** at all times.

Seriously though, if you've driven through Bel Air you realize that they a security system to rival Fort Knox. I think we have Charles Manson to thank for that. Although once David and Victoria reach the upper tier of scientology, they'll have the power to move objects with their own minds, so won't need SAS-trained security. Or perhaps they could take a page of Britney's book and taser over-excited gays, the only ones who'll really care that they're here.

Hrmm... if it's really about their safety, then she needn't worry her head about it - there'll be no shortage of minders available in LA, who will have had ample experience in protecting people much more fabulously wealthy and kidnap-worthy than the Posh-Becks offspring. And if it's about the fact that they've built a relationship with those minders and she doesn't want them to have to get used to new people... sorry, but children are adaptable little buggers, they'll cope - and if yer average non-celeb isn't allowed to import their au pair/babysitter/favourite granny just because the sprogs are used to being looked after by them, there should most definitely not be any exception for the Beckhams.

Sorry, Vicky love, but the reason you're all pissy here is not because you're being 'singled out', it is - as Mags said - because you're NOT being singled out. I have a feeling that suddenly no longer being a big fish in a small pond (and suddenly finding herself more like some microscopic sea-creature in the Pacific) is not going to sit well with our Mrs. Beckham....

I do see your point, and I think it makes a whole lot of sense....I do think, though, that it's not only the kids's trust that's the issue here. I think P&B also have grown to place all their trust in these people, and that's not something that can just be transferred to someone new so easily.

If *I* was VB, and thankfully I'm not, but if I were....I really wouldn't move here without them. I'd do the VWP for brief jaunts until this mess got straightened out. Trusting someone with my life is not something I would probably be able to do very easily, specially with a noob. I'd stay where I knew I and my children were safe.

But as I said before, if she moves here without them...(is it official yet?).....then it's not about the minders at all, and more about getting your name in the press, which is what she's here for anyways.

Well, considering how it all turned out for the Frank family, I rather wished that they had managed to get their visas. You do realise this article refers to them trying to get a visa in 1941 don't you?

Because I find laughing at them not getting a visa rather distasteful...

When I went to Amsterdam, I went to the house and toured where they lived. It broke my heart.

I'd challenge anyone to go through that place with dry eyes -- especially the room that was her bedroom that still has remnants of movie star posters and postcards on the wall.
