David's interview was 2-7-07. He arrived early and was called at about 10am. He said the woman who interviewed him was 30ish and white. He said she stared him up and down but was very kind to him. He said she asked only a few questions such as ... How and when did you meet? What does she do for a living? Did you know she was married before back in 1993? When did she come to Nigeria? Then she asked to see the pics of my visit to Nigeria. He said he looked her in the eyes and answered all questions and she told him to come back on Monday for the visa and congratulated him. He said he nearly fainted because he was at her window for less than 2 minutes. She never asked for phone bills, letters etc...
As a side note I want to say that this interview doesn't sound typical of what even I have read on VJ. I think David was fortunate and also well preparted and well organized, but perhaps the interviewer was busy or preoccupied...at any rate...he picked the visa on Monday and is on his way home to me!

Sounds like a great interview and congratulations on the successful visa! Might not sound like a typical Nigerian interview, but lots from Canada have had similar interviews. I think his looking the Consulate official in the eyes when answering questions was a bonus.
