so now i have a possible good job opportunity in INDIA. they even said i could bring abdelilah if i wanted....

does anyone here have any idea how i could find out if its possible to get him a visa to go to india? lol even if its just a visitor visa. would that be hard for him to obtain that?

so complicated. i may not do it but i'd like to see if its even possible.......... there are so many negatives: it would just prolong our moving to america (starting the whole visa process over!) starting a family, him beginning HIS career, etc.
but the pros: i've always wanted to go to india and i'd get to be there a whole year! with free room and board, transportation, and a chance to save some real money. this opportunity will never ever come up again (and once i have a baby it sounds impossible)

hmmmm. opinions? smile.gif

You should do it even if he can't get a visa. He's still in school anyway, right?

Are you pregnant now? Or have any short term plans to become?
If not, then I say go for it. INS will always wait. But chances like this will not....aaaaaaaaand your SO can come with you too! Great! Better to be together, in a foreign making new memories and adventures then apart. I assume you are young, as you looked it in your pic you posted as a avatar before. Better to do this type of wandering now, before you have children and get older. Regret is a terrible thing!
My husband and I have come up with some hair-brained ideas of our own. For him to live with me in Europe... much easier to get the visa there...during this wait, or me moving (temp) to DZ.... wacko.gif Driving me crazy...but good to think about it. Nothing is worth more then being together. good.gif

ANd I assume also you would be able to make enough for you 2 to live right? And have housing?!

I'm not sure about that, but I needed a visa to go there even coming from the US. It was very easy to get one though.

I see Jen already asked this in the Indian regional thread.

As someone there mentioned, it's better to look at sites dealing with other countries getting visas to India. If they have an embassy in Morocco, they'd probably have a website for it.

well im still considering it, i'm young and not pregnant (but wanted to be next year, oh well, it can wait). and the job would cover room and board for both of us. not sure what job he could do though. that would be something i should look into before i accepted. he seems totally up for the idea though......... travel all around india for over a year! why not!:D thanks sam, if i do go, i will definitely pm you for advice! i'd be living in Pune.

kicking.gif thanks ladies.

I say go for it. Sorry ladies, but dont let a man deny you of goals, dreams and apportunities. I am sure everything will work out for you and your fiance. Have fun seeing another part of the world.
