Well, here I am.
As with many here, I too am engaged. Currently petitioning my fiance to come stay with me here in Washington from Quezon City, Philippines. Some may have seen me for I've been hanging around mostly in the 'K-1 Fiance(e) Visa General Discussion' section.
I've been seperated from mine for over 1 1/2 years (at time of posting) which can really make a person feel down at times. In my social group there is no body that can even relate with what I am going through.
Thus I have found this forum to be encouraging and supporting. An implication that irregardless of financial income, social group, or personal background, we all experience the same things within our journeys. The emotional strain this can take on a person, I don't think there's a word for it. But each day that passes is one more step closer to that end result that we all seek.
I find myself coming here to not only give some support for others but also as a reminder that my time is coming. Each day seems really long when seperated from that loved one. I have not boasted or posted, but I am but days away from my fiance's medical and yet a couple weeks more til her interview.
Hope to get to know more of you here within the forum.
I will close with this...
You are not alone as there are many 'journeying', just passing the time away 'til that loved one comes home.
Thanks for reading.
Happy Valentine's Day
