I know, it's just a post on the internet - but I let it get into my head. Here's the VJ post;

Your interview "could" be longer than a year from the time you send in 129-f depending upon security and background checks.

I am seeing 6 months as the normal Thailand wait for interview. Anyone know if 1 year is common?-For Thailand?

Im sure others from you group will respond, but nothing is impossible with all this. Many from Morocco are more than a year other places im sure to. Im not sure there is a normal, just hope for the best as always.

I wife is not from Thailand, but I would venture to say that Vietnam has the longest waiting time of most countries by looking at the statistics pages from this website.

I would say number 1, don't listen to people that have a negative outlook or give negative comments like that. That will only bring you down. The truth is, is that you will be waiting, but how long, nobody knows. Keep your head up and glaze over on the posts that display negative comments.

There are alot of things that can happen from the time to submit your K1 to the time it gets approved for a visa. Some people have short waiting periods, some people have long waiting periods, but the median is 6-7 months until from the time you get your Noa1 to getting your visa.

Everyone's case is different, just because someone takes two years, does not mean yours will also. You need to learn their background before you get all freaked out.
