Since I wasn't sure how I could search for this info..I thought a Poll would help...plus it might help the newbies

Dang...I can't correct my grammar in the topic heading..Sorry.. whistling.gif

Yes I was approved. Since on the second and third questions you gave options only if you answered no on the first one, I chose other.

hehe are you talking about ''was'' you approved? lol, my husband is from texas and he talks like that ''was you'', when I first saw the poll I thought maybe you were from the south too tongue.gif
Magenta
Yes.

Like Nessa, I ticked "other" for the other two questions.

Yes, approved first time. No need for second. No reason for denial.

My wife and stepdaughter were approved on the first try at the US embassy in Warsaw, Poland. Warsaw is a regional embassy that interviews for several other countries in the region. The US embassy in Minsk, Belarus doesn't do fiancee interviews. Unfortunately they had to go through the extra inconvenience of having to get a Polish visa to go to the interview. All the embassies have different proceedures. They interviewed in the morning and had to return in the afternoon to pick up their passports with the K-1 / K-2 visas in them.

hehehe I didn't know about that until I came live here and caught Charles saying ''you was'' and saw on tv, anyway, I learned that it's a Texas thing, because I know my hubby speaks perfect english and writed perfect english, so I was impressed because I thought saying ''you was'' was so wrong but apparently it isn't tongue.gif

we had two interviews. they did want an additional document and for me (USC) to be interviewed in addition to AR. I *graciously* declined the USC interview request.

visa approved 7 months post-interview.

The only thing with this poll, is that people from different countries can have very different experiences. Some countries have much higher denial rates than others, so if a newbie sees this poll they should take into consideration what country their SO is from before applying the results to their process.

Yes, Sujeet's K1 visa was approved on the first interview. He received his visa 4 or 5 days later in the mail. They don't give it same day in India, at least they didn't 2 years ago. They keep the passport and put the visa in it and mail it to the recipient.

"Other" for the last 2 questions since they don't apply. smile.gif

My fiance's interview was Dec.14. On AP since then......no reason or time frame given
to us. sad.gif

Well as in any poll it's only based on the info given.. and it's just about K-1's.. So yes it's not really accurate
..but it's designed for the overall picture.... And with your additions about how tough your consulate was will help the people who read through it all ..

And Yes I should of added..what country your from..or interviewed in smile.gif Oh well..I'm new to the poll thingy...but overall it looks like most are approved.... to bad we can't poll the people who don't know about VJ...
