here's the gist of how Noors interview went..
got there early as heck in the morning...waited forever to be called for the interview...got in there and they asked him every question under the sun...
what is ur wife and her childs name,
where is the childs father,
what does your wife do for a living,
how do you keep in contact,
when did your wife come to Jordan,
how long did she stay,
did she ever return,
why didn't she return,
why doesn't she come to Jordan to live,
did she meet your family,
do they approve of her,
does her family accept you,
did you meet her family,
does her child accept you,
what color are her eyes,
how tall is she,
how old is she,
what is the name of her town,
how long has she lived there,
what are the names of the members of her family,
what town(s) do they live in,
what are their ages,
how much money does your wife make,
is she happy at her job,
does she own her home,
how long has she lived at her current address...

They asked some of the questions more than once and in different ways (we think that is to see if they can catch someone in a lie)...
They asked for our proof of relationship~he gave it to them~they looked over it all and then gave him a paper which said he had to provide more proof of a relationship. They said he could bring it back any Tuesday or Thursday (i think those were the days) between 11am and 1pm. Now, i remember being so upset coz he took everything we could think of to that interview. . . .
pictures,
chat logs,
phone records,
emails,
gifts,
receipts from sending mail...
We didn't know what else to take so we printed every single chat record since we met and of course some had to be edited for content..... blush.gif (we spoke every day for hours so it was thousands of sheets of paper). We printed pictures of every gift he sent my family and what I sent his.. Every phone bill (itemized)...
he took it back 3 or 4 days later and they told him they would review all of the information and call him. We were devastated (as everybody is when that happens) around a week later, they called him back to pick up his passport. They returned all of our "proofs" and just smiled at him .. gave him his passport with the visa and that was it....

I hope this helps some smile.gif

we were technically on AR for about a week. Our case (me and noor) was one of the last cases with a shorter AR time span. Our interview date was set about 4 months in advance...after we got our date, the interview dates were scheduled 6 months to 1 year in advance!!

Ladies, I have a question. I hear Amman will allow the beneficiary to have his fiance/wife present with him during the interview. Is that true or just a rumor? Also, do they interview in a room or at a window?
amal
they'll allow the wife there but it will have no impact on the decision they will make. (at least that is what i've heard from other people when they've discussed this issue)
lion_lioness
Thanks Amal, so they won't allow the fiance in interview??? Geez... thats disheartening. I should still be there with him though even if I have to wait outside. I think it would calm him down alot just having me their. Worst case, if we're denied - for any reason, we'll go ahead and get married like we originally planned to do. The K1 was my idea, based on finances and the fact that I didn't have enough vacation time to actually have a big wedding there. Now, I told him I dont even care about a party, I just want to be his wife and start of life together. Since I already sent in the paperwork we'll see what happens with it.
julianna
When I asked Amman if I could come to the interview they told me no! And we are married! So I decided to not worry about it... So I can come? (probably won't though).
lion_lioness
If we get our NOA2 before I leave next month I will ask when I go there in March and let everyone know what they are saying.
lion_lioness
sorry but I have another question. for amman interviews coming up in the next few months. did they send a packet three and four? did you mail them back before you got your interview date or did you get the packet with interview date?
thanks all

What's in packets 3 and 4?I can tell you if I got that! I didn't use a lawyer or anything, and seriously I don't have a clue how things were supposed to be smile.gif I just got stuff in the mail, did it, then sent things back. They actually sent HIS interview materials to ME. So I learned about his date that way. It came with a copy of all of the forms he would have to have and his medical examination information and the stuff about photos and whatnot.

Julianna,

when did the consulate receive your paperwork? I hope you don't mind my asking - I didn't see it in your timeline. I am trying to get an idea of about how far out they schedule interviews.

The packet you received is the packet 3 I believe, but I think some consulates send a packet 4 too, that's what i was wondering.

thanks for your help smile.gif

See, I got a megaton of various letters and this and that and packets from everyone-and-their-mom at NVC, etc so I wasn't sure smile.gif What would be in packet 4?

Well... I don't know exactly when they received it. I sent in all the crap they wanted and in August (beginning) the NVC said it was going to Amman within a week. Then? Beginning of September (ummm more than a week) the NVC sent me a letter saying my stuff was sent to the embassy. Then, End of November (27th) I got that packet which had dated material from the embassy dated October 9. So obviously sometime in September my stuff went to the embassy? I am guessing. I also just didn't have time or the energy to keep the applicaitons apart, so I wasn't sure what had actually gotten there. I found out the I-130 made it first.

The I-129F entered a complete silent mode after June 30. I never heard a thing about it after I sent in the paper with the whole "which violent crimes did you commit there is no "none of these" boxes/marriage broker" stuff. When the embassy sent us the email about the interview date change (one to me and one to him, we had just happened to email them the same day asking different questions) They said they were going to interview on the I-130 but that my I-129F was sitting there too. So I honestly have NO IDEA about it's timeline smile.gif Isn't that odd? Maybe since they had already sent the I-130 and scheduled an interview, they didn't bother to contact me regarding the I-129F?
amal
I remember Noor getting packet 3 that had the information needed to get his medical done and various other small things. I am pretty sure they called him for his interview date though. We never got a packet 4.

i wouldn't set any dates right now because AR can last a long time .. I'm not saying that they will end up on AR but it is the "norm" lately. Nobody knows how it will go or how long it will take. blink.gif it is a crazy process... some people get approved right then and there and then some people wait 2 years... its is completely unknown.. I wish you the best!!!
