Nice New Year's decorations (flowers etc)

Excitment of driving into the intersection first and hopefully the others will give way?

Happy New Year to you, too.

I was there last year for the TET holiday. First time in Vietnam and holy cow was I not in Kansas anymore. In HCM, the flowers in the park near the Ben Thang (sp?) market were pretty amazing. The traffic seemed like you were playing Russian Roulette.

So, do they have pig statues made out of various pieces of fruit?

This will be my wife's first Tet away from home. She misses the excitement, of course. Well, we had a great time last Tet in Saigon.

Chuc Mung Nam Moi to everyone. Wishing you and yours happiness and fortune

Exactly what I was thinking dalegg. With all of this cold weather in the midwest, I'm wishing we hadn't left Saigon and moved back!

Chuc Mung Nam Moi Patricks!

Happy Tet - Cung Chu'c Ta^n Xua^n - Chu'c Mu*`ng Na(m Mo*'i to everybody here.

Where's my Li` Xi`....? (red envelope with money) Ha ha...

Have lots of rice cakes with pickles, gambling, drinking, and maybe some firecrackers.

In San Jose, it is quite an event, not like Saigon but also a pretty big celebration with 2 Tet fairs at the fairground ad downtown, a parade downtown, firecrackers on Tet's eve, and lots of partying.
