I'm making plans to move to the USA and whilst waiting for pkt 3 I have been getting my Vaccinations done at my local Dr's surgery. So far my daughter and I have had Tetanus/Polio/Diphtheria. My Daughter goes for her first out of 3 Hepatitis B jabs tomorrow which is fine, but my query is the "Varicella" (Chicken Pox Jab). We have both had Chicken Pox so I am not sure whether we would need the Varicella Jab?

Get a Varicella titre--a positive result is as good as the "jab" (which will anyway be useless).

I think you can just tell them you've had it.

For the interview at the embassy, unless the requirements have changed, you should be good to go. Assuming you are applying for K1 (which is a big leap as you don't say) the vaccinations have to be completed before applying for AOS - it will probably be much cheaper to get them all completed under the NHS in the UK, although if you tell them why you want to have them done, they are allowed to charge you as a private patient! It used to be a fact that you couldn't get Varicella done in the UK anyway, so if you've had chicken-pox you could get the titre to check immunity which you would need to produce a copy of with our AOS or you can just get the varicella done in the US.
Note: having chicken-pox does not always confer immunity!

Ive just had all the jabs for K1, and when i rang the medical i got told all i needed was TDP and MMR. The MMR is done in 2 lots with a month apart.

I only got one MMR jab. The nurse at Knightsbridge Doctors said that was all I need.
Starting to worry now.

Im just going by my local doctors, maybe theres different strength ones. I had the measles and rubella jabs once in school but hadnt had the humps one, other wise i would have only needed one jab. Sorry if i worried you but i would go by what the nurse at london said. Just curious, what jabs did she say you needed?. I got told just MMR and TDP.
MMR & TDP as I have a history of varicella infection that came close to killing me.
