oiiiiiii it looks like ill be one of the last to send it in february!:(

but i checked the status of my passport and it SAYS it should be here on or about the 14th.
so i hope i can throw it in the mail 15th, over night and still make that deadline!

When I sent our application out to TSC it was delivered on a Saturday - so no one was there to sign for. Two days later, that Monday, I received an e-mail from the USPS at 5 a.m. saying it was delivered.
Don't worry about it - it happens to a lot of us!

Hey, you know something? I sent my I-130 out yesterday. Got there at 10:44am this morning and I am reading the SAME thing about how they attempted delivery and all that notice being left stuff. I am confused too! But glad to see that I'm NOT the only one! Still makes me worried, I don't want it to get sent back!

Editing: Well I just read Nazuspe's answer as well as yours and all is well! So I'm sure now that mine will get delivered! I feel more relieved now! Thanks!

Hey stevo, seems like this is the trend with usps... probably looking to buy one more day for their "in time delivery"

Just checked the usps website and my package was accepted in Vermont earlier today! Yay!

I guess I'll join the club. My I-129F package was mailed out on Feb 8th (USPS Priority) to the Texas center and as of the 10th tracking shows attempted delivery.

My guess is since it is going to a PO box (either at the USCIS or real post office), someone must come in once a day and sign off on all the packages at once.

I am (hopefully) sending mine in Monday the 12th. I was trying for earlier but....well you know how that goes. thanks for all the info I've seen here, come to find out my I-129F form will expire before it arrives in Vermont, so I have to print out another one...and a bunch of other stuff too. I realized in my 1am haze of paperwork, I wrote my address in the states incorrectly!!! It's pretty bad when you can't remember your own address. But on the bright side, I am down here in Grenada with my Fiance while we are filing so I have him at my disposal to sign things every time I screw them up.
I guess I'll be joining the February club!

Our cheque was cashed yesterday, hurrah some movement ....

Well my fiance finally mailed the I-192F petition to Nebraska on the 7th February, received at 6.46am on the 9th February.

I sent ours out jan 31st to the Texas Service Center. Of course they only accepted delivery at 5 AM the day after it was supposed to be there. The check got cashed and got a NOA1 on the 7th but from California.

Now I got to wait almost 60 days+ instead of 40 .

We were going the DCF route in NZ when the State Dept shut that down. At least the processing on their end got started so we may get a faster turn around.

I hope all the forms are ok

If you haven't sent it yet, email the new form to your fiance, have him type his name in arabic and save it, email it back to you, and then you complete the rest and print it. Worth a shot anyway.

I'm a February filer too. I sent my packet out USPS Express mail on 02/05/07. I was so nervous, I trashed the tracking number It was a good thing I requested a return receipt, which I received on Friday. Good luck and God Bless to all the February filers.

Here is the first post from a newbie on VJ. I finally received my I-129F NOA1 from VSC yesterday, so let the anticipation begin.

A quick question about the case being "touched." Does it mean that the Current Status says "touched" on the USCIS website, or that the Last Updated date has changed?

it means the last updated date has changed. We refer to it as touched here, because it means that your case was touched.
The status won't change until they make a decision on it. Once it gets approved, the status will say approved.

I'll say that EPlum's approval IS quick! Good for them! We are only a few days behind them since ours was rec'd in Vermont 2/5. Curious: Who signed for your packages in Vermont? Ours was signed for by "A. Scot" --> we thought that was good luck since we'd just had a marvelous time at a Edinburgh hotel named the Scotsman!!

I've been following a thread about what they consider a fiance. I asked my SO how he'd describe our "engagement" and he was like, "well, we've been together for so long that we just decided to get married, and that's it." I wonder if this'll be an acceptable explanation or if I should work with him on something a little more defined.

I have never been so happy to see a check cashed....

The funny thing is that I ordered checks just to use for the I-129F... I have not used checks for 7 years...

Using your bank's website? It should show as soon as it has been cashed.

Do days seem like years to anyone else? I fear I'm becoming a bit addicted to the USPS website trying to track my packet. I only sent it Monday....and it's only Thursday afternoon. I'm feeling a bit neurotic. They really should offer free psychological services for this process.
I know I have things on my side, filing the 'faster' form (I-129F instead of I-130) and I get to go through Vermont, and the embassy in Barbados is very fast too, usually less than 2 weeks for an interview. But I'm dying just for the packet to get to Vermont!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean. I am pretty impatient during circumstances like this and I just try and deal with it the best I can. I don't get frustrated, but the process is always on my mind

I just want the VSC to cash my check, I feel that will calm me down a bit.

Delivered today but no one was there to sign for it....big surprise, haha. This happens alot at the Texas center, right? I'm thinking it will be okay tomorrow.
