Tony, you still haven't gotten it? Man we filed/shipped out our packets the same day!!
I really hope you get notice tomorrow. I'll be wishing for ya as well

And anyone else in february that's still left behind
After the approval though, it seems to go MUCH faster.. not that i'm all that far ahead, but I guess the excitement makes things go that much easier knowing you're getting somewhere.

Same goes for me, Kim, no touches or anything yet.

Aww, No, I wasn't in any way talking about you moaning. Trust me. I was just reminding you of other things that you should focus on more

Like your girlfriend (edit to say: Fiancee hehe) especially since you guys are so lucky to be with each other right now
Plus, thinking of things like that really helps to make the much more difficult/agonizing process a bit easier
I'm sorry if it seemed like I was implying you were constantly complaining. Trust me, I would be too, heck I think I'd do like 100x more complaining than you do, and mine would be annoying too ahha!!

How many days after the check clears in your account do you usually get the NOA1? And does it mean anything if the NOA1 takes longer for one person than another? I can't read the number on the back of my check and I am just getting worried since I haven't heard anything. I hope I didn't mess anything up.

Don't worry. You should get the NOA-1 soon. It seems there is no thyme or reason to this process. I see you and I have the same mailing dates, NealandCari .

Same here... and still thinking that candid camera is going to pop out and say "haha, surprise." I mean at this point there is no way it could be a mistake, or so I am thinking. All the information is correct on the notice. Very bizare... but a welcomed surprise. Just have to readjust my timeline as to what I need to do when.

As others have said, "usually" doesn't always apply. Our NOA1 is dated 22 days after we sent our I-129F in and 17 days after the package was delivered according to the post office receipt. The check was cashed several days after that, and the NOA1 arrived in the mail more days later.
My fiance couldn't read the number on the check either, so he called up the CSC, and they gave it to him.

Nothing....I thought a touch yesterday after two weeks of silence would mean something.
How long would you wait before pulling the congressman card? It wouldn't be such a biggie for me since both my bosses know him and I work for two federally funded programs that are his babies, but I don't want to go there just because my NOA2 is taking a bit longer than everyone else's because I might truly need his help later.
His local office is two blocks from my apartment so when he's local, I may just plant my tushy outside his office.

Before calling your congressperson, call the USCIS to get an update on your petition. If your not getting anywhere with that, then call your congressperson.

The way I understood it is that you should wait until after the times your service center list as the current processing date (I think VSC is August right now???)
There is a bunch of information about calling your congressperson on HUSKERKIEV's thread (former uscis adjudicator....)
Good Luck

From what I understand, the USCIS phone service has the same information that the online system has...and that many people do not have any luck beyond hearing, "we have record of receiving your case and it's pending."
I called to listen to the automated system yesterday and within minutes after I was touched for the first time in weeks....hmmm.
I'm now thinking that going through VSC is not necessarily a blessing, and my fiance is getting discouraged, but he is an awfully impatient fellow. After seven years in this relationship, it's hard to believe how agonizingly slow the last 30 have gone!
