curious, those of you who sent it in before feb 18th... did you guys use the new form, or the old form?

Any NOA2s? Getting so anxious!!!!
tonyeck
None for me today smile.gif
GabachaYucateca
I was wondering aout you two...any more touches?

I thought I'd be all calm about this...apparently not!
tonyeck
Nope smile.gif I am keeping calm and only checking around 50 times a day now laughing.gif
GabachaYucateca
I haven't checked all day since I've not been near a computer...have made up for it in the past 10 minutes.

And yesterday, why I was thinking that they'd be adjudicating petitions on a Sunday.
Adrian + Shannon
We got an email that NOA 2 was mailed on Friday, 23rd. Feb.!!! (We both were spouting gray hairs!!!) YAY!! kicking.gif kicking.gif

We used the old form. We followed the instructions in a "K-1 kit" we bought on the internet to the letter... was a $50 kit but seems to have pleased Vermont so it was money well spent!

We are so thankful, and pray for speedy attention to everyone still waiting.... fingers crossed smile.gif

I must say that the journey is far from over but we are really relieved and thankful to hear that NOA 2 is on the way! You will be too -- hang in there and have a cold bottle of champagne standing by in (both) refrigerators since it happens when you least expect it!

And rememeber, and email from "CRIS" is definitely NOT spam! biggrin.gif
GabachaYucateca
Good for you!!!!! Hate to be an anal-rententive freak show about how many touches did you get before the NOA2? I know that oth tonyeck and I got two last week, but neither of us had heard anything.

We got NO touches before NOA 2, nothing since NOA 1 at all and we were worried we'd been sent to the "warehouse" ...! It only takes some of the adjudicators 15 minutes to do a case, according to the Husker guy's posts, so you might not get any touches or could get lots - just depends, I guess!

Everyone might be interested in this website my fiance and I use to figure out how long it will be until we see each other-- it's very useful!

I'm pretty sure that your fiance needed to include one, too. You may get an RFE.

I think your fiancee needs to submit one as well but since you have submitted your packet, just keep your fingers crossed that they'll oversee it and get the approval without RFE. Good luck!

IMHO, I don't think it's not necessary to do that since you have submitted your packet already. There were cases where they didn't include the letter of intent and got approved. Better keep your fiancee's copy in case they will ask for it (RFE) it will be easier to submit, but like I said, they might oversee it and approve your case without it.

Relax for now... good.gif

WooooHooooo... I finally finished the packet and dropped it in the mail today, Priority Mail, Signature Confirmation Required. Quadruple checked, with both the VJ Assembly instructions and the helpful hints from everyone.

So, does that make me a February filer, or am I not official until the packet is received by the Nebraska Service Center?

I think everyone in the office thought I was crazy, wearing out the copy machine, all the pretty little tabs neatly arranged at the bottom indexing everything, doing the final assembly, and then going through page by page with one final check, with this CRAZY big grin on my face. 1 more step towards Annie being with me, I FEEL GREAT.

Let the fun begin!!! And the waiting, too.......................
rea
yeah crying.gif , but we're praying CSC will be getting more adjudicators to make the processing faster..

I'm joining the February Filers Team. Let's stick together and hope for speedy results. Mailed mine on the 5th and got my NOA1 on the 12th.

The only thing I'm worried about is the AOS and the Ghanaian Embassy. I'm a student and currently unemployed so I'm wondering how that's going to work out.

Any ideas??? Any ideas to ease my anxiety??? wacko.gif

If its the income you are concerned with then as long as you have a co-sponsor you will be fine. Both me and my Fiancee are students so we had to go with a co-sponsor.

Good to see another Vermonter smile.gif Had any touches to your file this week?

Ghana love, welcome to the Club!!!!!!!!! yay for Vermont feb filers!
first, be sure to fill in your timeline, go up to My Assistant. You have filled in your signature but not your timeline and so your info is not being included in the immigration timelines that help us all out.

As for the ghana embassy, there may be delays. I hear that you have to wait months to schedule an interview. in terms of being unemployed, you'll need a co-sponsor. also check out the sub-saharan africa forum, theres lots of ghana folks there who can anser specifc questions about the idiosyncrasies (sp?) of the embassy in accra!

btw, i studied abroad at legon...did u as well?

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

I'm a February filer too!!
Got my NOA1 the 13th. It was last touched on the 21st at the VSC.
SO ANXIOUS!!

I keep checking to see if it's been touched hahha.

Hmmmmm, should i be concerned? mine was signed for on the 16th but i've still not gotten my NOA1 or a cashed check. I know texas isn't like vermont but is this pretty normal? i just see so many getting their NOA1's in a week and it'll be 2 weeks tomorrow. I'm just freaking out i guess blink.gif .
tonyeck
Has the check been cashed?
blspicer
No it hasn't been cashed, that's why i'm freaking out. Is there someone I can call?
bora bora
You can call CSC but they may give you the run around - it sucks - good luck.

It's the last day of February so I hope that gives you all hope.
tonyeck
Not really, not without a case number... Not sure if they can search by name? They probably can but may not be willing to...

I am sure I have seen people wait upto 3 weeks for the NOA1, and that is usually sent before cashing the check. I am sure it will turn up very soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you though... Sorry about the anxious wait...
blspicer
Thanks for that. I don't mind waiting, its just the thought of something being wrong i guess. I'm gonna be optimistic about it though. Fingers crossed.

I have a question about touches...
Will these show up on a status search on the USCIS website?
I keep checking it (only once a day!) and its always the same thing on there crying.gif

" Current Status: Case received and pending.

On February 7, 2007, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register."

When the application does get a touch, is this where I will see it at?
