We decided that my fiances family would like to come from Chile to our wedding in July in the US. Has anybody had any experiences with obtaining tourist visas for family members? It seems to be straight forward, but I was just wondering if anybody has done this. How long does the application process take?

Loads of people have done this. Well not something they do, but their family do. Presume you are talking about them getting a B2 Visa from the US Consulate in Chile.

I would allow a few weeks, best for them to apply asap. The longer they leave it the more the airline tickets will cost them if they are successful.
