Wondering which address to use for I-130. I'm already stumped. Question 2 is as far as I've got!

star_smile.gif Husband and I live together in the north of Italy. He works here, we have apartment, bills arrive here etc.

star_smile.gif Husband and I both have OFFICIAL Residence at his parents house in the south of Italy. On all of our important documents, that is where we pay taxes etc.

star_smile.gif I dont THINK I'd use my domicile address in the U.S. here, i will state that later when says where immigrant intends to live in the U.S.

Which to use? I feel to put down our "OFFICIAL RESIDENCE" at his parents house, but during the interview, if asked, of course we will say that we live together in the north in our apartment. I sure don't want them to be like..." well....here on the form states you live in the south...uh hem..." See what I'm getting at? blink.gif

Did any of you have a living situation like this? What did ya put? unsure.gif

Oh goodness one MORE thing.... my husband dosen't have a middle name....WEIRDO! (kidding)

Should I leave it blank, put NONE or a N/A? Don't want them thinking middle name is NONE!! laughing.gif

Thanks for any ideas you all

The top address (as in Q2) of the I-130 is generally what one wants used as a mailing address.

hahahaha on the middle name. That would be funny laughing.gif hmmmmmmmm what about 'no middle name'. Perhaps someone has had the same issue.

Bree, I had the same question. On the one hand, I was trying to reinforce that I lived overseas. On the other hand, I was trying to say I lived in the US (so I could sponsor him).

I completed (2) I-130s and took them both with me and asked the INS officer which way it was supposed to be. She told me: the US address, so I gave her that one and tore up the foreign address one.

That does not mean I am giving you a definitive answer on which address to use. smile.gif But, if you're filing in person, you too could take 2 forms in with you.

As for your so-called WEIRDO husband and his lack of a middle name, some of us OTHER weirdos without middle names have faced this dilema before!!! tongue.gif
The 'normal' way to do it is to enter "NMN" for 'no middle name' but I knew if I did that, I would be forever known as Meauxna NMN Lastname, and just *try* to pronounce *that*! <g>

I used (none), like this: LASTNAME, Meauxna, (none)

But she's filling to the consulate, no mailing involved.

star_smile.gif star_smile.gif FYI UPDATE: star_smile.gif star_smile.gif

Spoke to Rome, and I will be putting my present Italian address on all lines concerning addresses. For mailing purposes. I've lived in Italy for four years.

star_smile.gif Then I will use all the proof I gathered to show my existing ties to the U.S. and all steps I am taking to strenghten these ties before our move, and will continue to take steps to "extinguish" ties at my present address in Italy.

Getting closer to actually filing the I-130, can u believe it?
