We sent in our I-751. We got back a NOA stating the receipt of I-751 with the 12 month exetension and giving one case number. A couple days later we received a "received biometrics fee" letter with the same case number...all is well, right? Now, four days later we get a second NOA that states receipt of I-751, the 12 month extension and the receipt of biometrics fee (all in one) but this one has a completely different case number.
So, I go online. Second number works, first doesn't. So, I call in. Supervisor says "both numbers are active" and that this is "normal" because the second now applies to Form CRI89 or something like that which is I guess the biometrics number (from what he said - sounded like double talk to me).
Anyone else have anything like this happen out of TSC or anywhere else?
Like I said: It's always something with these people...unbelievable....

Yup, me too. Three letters received now, the first two were receipt letters with one case number. Third letter arrived with biometrics appointment date and has a different case number.

Do you think this happens to those who filed I-751 with two checks?
I have received only a blue letter acknowledging that VSC got the $70 biometrics fee.
Nothing else so far.
-----------
Jan 22 - Send in I-751 via express mail.
Jan 23 - Received at VSC (according to USPS).
Jan 25 - Two Checks ($205 & $70) cashed by USCIS.
Jan 29 - Received a Blue Receipt for Biometrics ($70)

Good then! If there's more than one of us, that's a good sign....I did some more research and apparently they are giving the biometrics it's own form number now, and that is what is generating the second NOA. You'd think they'd tell you. I'm just waiting now for the 2 inch packet of evidence I sent to end up in one case file, and the one they actually look at is the one with nothing in it...ha...to deal with these morons is simply an exercise in paranoia...expect the best, but prepare for the worst...

Me too. In fact, in the last six months i've been reading this forum, it's happened to every person who filed at TSC and quite a few who filed elsewhere.
