I read the instructions but I can`t understand very well the steps.

Please tell me,

1. Send I-751 to the service center
2. Is the second thing waiting for NOA?
3.When are the biometrics, are they awlays before the green card expire?
4.When do they put the I-551 stamp?
5. Can you reschedule biometrics an appointment?

Thank you

1. I-751 packet mailed

2. You will receive a notice of receipt for the form stating that "Your alien card is extended one year - employment and travel authorized". Keep the receipt with your green card.

3. If by some chance you are not approved within a year you will need to go to your local USCIS office and request an extension of your CPR status based on the fact that your application is still pending (will receive an I-551 stamp extending your status for an additional year). This does happen, sometimes it takes over a year to be approved.

4. You may or may not be called for an interview after you submit this form.

5. When you are approved you will be sent a notice requesting that you go to your local USCIS office to be processed for your 10-year green card. You will have biometrics taken and receive an I-551 stamp similar to what you got when you were approved for Adjustment of Status, and it will be good for one year until you receive your 10 year green card in the mail.

6. Once you receive the 10-year green card, it should be renewed every 10 years, if you do not become a U.S. citizen in the interim.

I sent in I-751.

I got NOA (extending my GC for 1 year for work and travel) and Biometrics Appointment notice.

I went for Biometrics Appointment.

I'm awaiting approval.

3.When are the biometrics, are they always before the green card expire?
Not always. You could send in your I-751 a day or two before you conditional Green Card expires, and you'd still be legal. If you did this, almost certainly the biometrics would be scheduled after GC expiration.

The biometrics are scheduled at the convenience of your local application support center (ASC). There are lots of these offices scattered around the country, with widely varying staffing levels, backlogs, and workloads, so it's hard to say when biometrics might be scheduled for you, and it's hard to use other people's experiences as a guide, unless they live in an area served by the same ASC. I'd expect it's often around a month or two after sending the I-751, but I wouldn't bet on a strong level of consistency.

5. Can you reschedule biometrics an appointment?

When you receive the appointment notice, see it for instructions about rescheduling. Again, procedures vary from one ASC to the next, so it's hard to say what the procedure will be for your ASC.

Thank you , may ask again smth.

1. So the NOA extands the GC
2. After that you have you have the biometrics an appointment and I undersatnd they put a stamp in your passport. What is this for since you have already the NOA extanding your card. It sounds like twice they extend the GC) Is the second time some kind of official extending?
3. If they call you for biometrics , does this mean that you are approved and now you are just waiting for 10 year GC.

Thank you again
