It seems that I have seen written that when the day and month of the birthday is not known, it is permissible to use 01-01 in the form? We are doing his DS 230 through the website, and it does not give an option to write 'unknown' for the month and day of his parents birth. We have the exact year, but as with a lot of older people there, the actual birthdays were not recorded. Can anyone confirm that it is OK to use 01-01 as the birthday? Or should he leave it blank and then write in with pen 'unknown'. Thank you in advance!

Hey Girl!

Does he have access to the book his father should have? It's where they keep up with the births...at least Atif's dad has one.

Call me and I'll help you all I can....you have the number! tongue.gif

I write exactly what you know - the year of it is inthe family book or unknown.

My fiance's birthday is 01/01 on all records, but he was born in December- no one recorded the actual day so 01/01 was assigned. I wouldn't think you should use 01/01 unless the government of Morocco uses that officially.

We use 01/01 for both of my fiance's parents on all our paperwork, but that is also on their identity cards. I agree; go with what you know.
Visa4habibi!
My husband's B-day wasn't recorded on time, they did it over 3 years later! His B-day is somewhere in February, but nobody knows and in papers it says 01/01! I know it doesn't help you, but I just thought it's kind of funny!
