Not a nuisance at all. I just have a poor memory laughing.gif

Start by calling your landlord. It won't hurt. People told me I could never get our landlord talked down on raising our rent--but I did. If you're really afraid of confrontation, find someone to talk for you.

I picked:
call the landlord/lawyer and try to convince then to drop the whole thing because we couldn't stay in their building OR their country...if it were me, I would act very sincere and courteous on the phone with them and try to bring across how hard it would be for us to pay all that amount right up front or at all. I wouldn't get nasty with them, even if they don't care about what you are saying to them. Because if you act nasty, they will even less want to take your situation into consideration. You can be assertive though. (not saying you would act nasty, but just saying in general!) smile.gif

If they don't drop it, try to work out some payment plan or something or ask if you can pay 1/2...I don't know! sad.gif Try making a deal.

Definitely talk to them first. It couldn't hurt, right? And then, if that fails, see about making payment arrangements. As long as you pay it off steadily, I don't see how they could continue with the lawsuit.
