So I live and die by my cellphone. It's a Palm Treo which set me back quite a bit & I haven't really taken the time to figure out all the stuff it can do...but it's a good fone for what I do...it can open lockboxes for houses and all sorts.

Anyways, last week I lost mine!

Of course, it was insured and that's all well and good...but all my piccies, video, phone book...everything GONE!

Really nice piccies of me and D....and it was heartbreaking.


Lo and behold, I forgot I synched it to my puter! I HAVE A BACKUP OF EVERYTHING!!! woooooooooo hooooo

Ed has a treo, and he loves it - he does seem to spend far too much time getting it to 'talk' with his mac nicely, but in a situation like yours it is a very useful feature! Glad you still have your photos

Sorry to hear about your phone. My fiance lost his once and I rang it and the guy who had it answered anyway he ended up returning it. I hope you have the same good luck!

I did ring it repeatedly, but no one ever picked up it totally sucked cos I don't like annoyances like that...I had to arrange another phone in the meantime, all my customers were calling my old number, etc...it just made me feel like I was in Siberia.

What did we ever do before cellphones? hahaha....kinda a sad development in technology....I'd much rather be 'unavailable' hahahahah


The fone never turned up, and it cost me 50 bucks for the deductible...not too bad, but I pay like 6 a mo for lost/broken insurance, so I suppose it wasn't that cracking a deal. It was on backorder!!! for like a week, but they assured me it would bea brand new replacement and not a refurb. So it finally came, and lo and behold it's a refurb. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it annoyed me cos they made such a point to let me know it'd be new...I was like 'people, eh' so no big shakes. But when I went to use the speaker phone, it was blown.

so I called the ins and told them very nicely, and the guy is sending me out a brand new one. But I can use this one in the meantime, which is cool...but I"m not going to import all my contacts if I just have to send it back in a few days anyway.
