Hi guys,
I'm sure this has already been answered somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. For the I-130 and I-129F applications for K-3, on the guide page it says to send in a copy of your birth certificate, front and back, and a copy of your marriage certificate. I have several copies of my marriage certificate, but only one of my birth certificate. Do I really need to have an actual copy of it, or is a photocopy acceptable? What have you guys all sent in?
Thanks for the help. smile.gif

I thought a photocopy was an actual copy.... blink.gif

I sent photocopies, and at the interview they ask to see the certified copies. If you send them the certified copy they'll keep it and then you'll need to get another one.

Well, I meant like a certified copy, as in, I'd have to go to the courthouse and pay for a few copies of each.

Anyway, thanks a lot! That saves me quite a bit of time and money. I also had another quick question. I was looking at the form G-325a and at the bottom of the page, there's a heavy black box which says "make sure you put in your alien registration number."
What on Earth is an alien registration number? What am I meant to put there? If I'm missing a guide or something that explains it, please let me know. Thanks!

Okay nevermind about the last part, I see that you can just put "none." Yeah, the huge link at the top that says example forms didn't catch my eye until just now, durr. Is it better to type those in, fill them in by hand, or do they really care?

they don't really care, but if you fill it out online it automatically fills in pages 2,3, and 4.
