My wife is from Pakistan and she passed her interview back on December 13th but now she is getting her security clearance. How long does it take for a security clearance? Thanks.

Big plus is that she is a she.

Is it true that it can take years?

For men. Yes it can.

Never seen one for a woman that went that long.

Hopefully as soon as possible, there is no specific timeline.

For ladies it dont take long i think maximum month or two but if the beneficary is male and esp Pakistani then it takes hell of a time luckyman u hear soon i hopeful she will get visa soon in march or maximum april or before than that. Keep your finger cross.

Look at me i m still waiting for my interview date i send the documents on 18 december 2006 and still waiting for my packet 04. Today is 60 day and nothing i heard from embassy and the big waiting still to come for AR/AP
