Based on recent movement, the magic number seems to be about 80%. Also, note that there is NO CSC/TSC/NSC distinction for the K1 when monitoring NOA2s; some people are ignoring valid data in their results.

Thanks for the information. I have not had any touches yet either. I am at the beginning of January that I received my NOA1. I have not heard anything as of yet. Just wanted to tell everyone to hang in there. We all should be hearing something very soon.

Can you show me where to get those percentages from? I would like to update this thread daily with percentages. To give us some kind of light at the end of the tunnel, because now I only see nothing.

Mine is Jan 03 and I check obsessively. Should be happening soon. I would think that there would be fewer in December due to Holidays and all. We will see.

My I-129 arrived in Vermont on January 8 and still nothing. I called today and they told me to just keep on waiting and that they are processing cases from September. What should I do? After it gets approved up here it will be another 2-3 years for the Visa to get approved in the Dominican Republic. I can't WAIT

I did a search for records using the following criteria

Search result for
Visa Type : [K1], Service Center : [All], Beneficiaries Country : [All], Consulate/Embassy : [All], I129F NOA 1 After 2006-12-01, I129F NOA 1 Before 2006-12-31, Local Office : [All]

I come up with 96 total records with 76 of them having NOA2. If my math is right I come up with 78% Approved for December. That is all Service Centers.

For CSC I got 52 total and 37 with NOA2 which I believe is 71% complete. So that would mean we need 5 more approved to reach the magic 80%. Soon January fliers will have their turn.

Of course we have no idea the real numbers but I think this site is giving a good estimation.
lucho562
Man this sucks. Too bad their isn't an expedited service, I am willing to pay 20 fold of the I129F fee. CSC should really look into that, instead of raising taxes, charge a hefty expedited service fee......they would make a killing. Which VJ member wouldnt pay that expedited fee to get their loved one here faster?????

Anyhow, just a dream
lucho562
ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!

A December 27th filer just received NOA2 from CSC!!!....Us, January filers are unofficialy 5 days away from seeing our first Jan. NOA2 at CSC!!!!!!!!!!!!! kicking.gif

You would pay $3400 to shave off a few weeks from the approval of your I129f??????

Of course one problem with CSC charging for an expedited service is that Vermont already expedites their service for no extra charge. And then a second problem would be that just because you have money and I don't you would get to skip ahead in line before me and make my wait a littlle longer. How do you think THAT would go over with the public? Remember, I pay taxes too.

But hey, its nice to dream...
Anthony Julie
This is not yet our week.. Hehehe..

Julie
wissooner
week is not over yet biggrin.gif
fukarse
There has been lull in Dec movement this week; I will show you tomorrow.

Part of this is caused by an under-estimation of Dec cases. Even in mid March there are still new Dec cases trickling into the VJ records. Whenever this happens, it sometimes manifests as a stall (or even a minor decrease) in the progress counts here.
wissooner
Yeah, I noticed the lull too and I suspected that there were more December filers out there than were reported.

BTW fukarse, what's stake in all this? Are you involved with someone overseas?...
Gabriela and Rick
CSC December K1's - 41/56 = 73%
All K1's - 85/105 = 81% (Rounded up)

Today I saw an Approval for a 1st NOA (December 28th). It was approved March 3rd but just updated here today. Meaning it was not updated for a while. I think we should see January's starting any day now. The moment I get mine I am updating here because it is frustrating when people wait for two weeks. I know it's a courtesy that we all do this but even I have my days of frustration. smile.gif
lucho562
Any January CSC touches?

Wissooner,
Yes I would definately pay to speed up this process. I would save my hair, stress is getting to me wink.gif You're right, doesnt hurt to dream.

I don't think they now offer, nor will they offer, expedited fiance petitions. There are fees you can pay for other classes (like the I-129, mainly in the employment realm). But, for the reasons you point out here, there are a lot of concerns in using the expedited services in the family-based arena. Easier to justify for economic reasons and employment. Paying for family is distasteful precisely because it would create a class-based system of family unification and creation. Not a lot of good P.R. comes out of that, as you rightfully say. But if I missed mention of that in the proposal, then I'm wrong.
svasquez
I am still waiting to hear from VSC. I filed in early January...So...they are not any faster...Then I have the long wait of 2-3 years to get an interview....

I'm helping my sister and her fiance with this process and I was wondering why we were told to send the I-129F package to Nebraska and they forwarded it to California? Any ideas? Did I miss something?
GabachaYucateca
Nebraska is the service center that petitions from the state the petitioner is from, but Nebraska no longer processes K1s so they all get forwarded to Cali.
Gabriela and Rick
We got a 12-29 with an NOA2 of 03-22-2007!!!!!!!

I just bookmarked this after I chose the options. This is CSC listed. If you only see like 30 rows choose "Select # of Rows to display" and choose 200. Now the NOA1's should be in descending order. So I scroll down till I see something in the NOA2 field.

ALL Service Centers December Completed - 87/107 = 81%
CSC Completed - 42/57 = 73%

Since March 22nd
Total overall number for all service centers has increased by 2
Total increase for CSC was one added and one approved, leaving us still at 73%

The reason for the lull is unknown. My theory was that the number of December filers was low due to holidays and they are using it to play catch up. This would sound reasonable but who knows.
