AHHHHHHHH (thats a scream, not a relief sigh) Thats awesome, you got your birthday wish!!!! Oh I am so happy for you!!!!!!! Now, get out of that service center and on to some competent people...(I say that but did I even spell competent or is it competant or compatent... oh shite...right)??? I'm thinking out loud, can you tell? Had it right the first time...competent....looked it up in my handy Websters....I am neurotic about spelling....in fact just corrected the convenience store for misspelling Jack Danials....um I know that brand and that is NOT the way you spell it!!!!! Did I mention I'm easily distracted???? And, did I mention....AHHHHHH.....congrats?????? Good for you Sarah.

Hey all,

I did the USCIS customer service voice-mail "trick" to get routed to someone who actually gave me helpful information! You guys I doubted ....oops, you were correct!

I pressed the buttons for "help with a problem or a request for more information." I reached a lady that answered "California Service Center." No one before has ever told me what office they are in, even after I asked!

Anyway, I told the lady I reached her because the online status showed activity May 11, so I pushed the voice mail numbers for an RFE. She typed for a few seconds and said "No RFE, your petition was approved May 10. And it was sent to the NVC on the 18th!" She also said USCIS is backed up, confirmations may not be sent out for 30 days after approval.

There is something I did not completely understand. She said we're approaching a four month deadline, everything is being rushed now, tell my fiancee to be ready to take care of her requirements. She will be receiving notice quickly. (Which she is, we've been ready since March)

Congratulations to all of us that suddenly busted through the January NOA1 wall!

Aahhh... George!

Hi everyone! I'm glad to see the NOA2's! =) I'm in California visiting my USC fiancee. I looked in his mail the other day, and I found a letter form the National Visa Center saying out I-129F was approved and being forwarded to Canada. The letter was dated May 17th, 2007.

I didn't receive any email or even a letter from CSC. *shrugs*

Anyway, I'm happy!! =D

The system they use to send us information is as bad as the approval system itself!

I had to go through voice-mail-hell to get to a UCSIS customer service agent that gave me helpful information. She told me my I-129f was approved two weeks earlier!

Similar to us. We also didn't get notified yet about our approval (via email or snail mail, online case status still pending), but our case was already sent to the embassy. Howard received a letter from NVC yesterday.

I'll update our timeline when I find out when we actually received our NOA2.

PS: I'm not around VJ much lately, because I have a friend from US visiting and I'm away from computer most of the days. Congratulations to everybody who found out about their NOA2's and specifically congrats to FutureMrs!! I'm so happy for you guys! It was a long wait! kicking.gif

I see you have your medical exam Thursday! Awesome!

Saturday, "Ski" received notice the petition is at the Kiev embassy. We have all our embassy docs together, so Tuesday morning she calls for an interview appointment. smile.gif

July 5th interview!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SkyMas
This afternoon, I received a call from a staffer of my congressman's office. The call was in response to a letter I emailed to their office May 17, regarding the K-1 processing slowdown. A week or so ago she called CSC using the congressional information line. Great I thought! It turns out her information was the same as we get from the customer service line. That is, they are now processing November 13 129f's, my 129f is pending, and I have almost 12 weeks longer until CSC processes mine!

She was quite surprised when I told her my application was approved May 10, sent to the NVC May 18, and arrived in Kiev May 23. My fiancee already has packet 3, and her medical is scheduled for Thursday the 31st. The USCIS website showing the status of my petition was updated only last Frday evening, the 25th.

Of course, she asked what my problem was, since CSC was working on November's petitions, and my January filing was approved 2-1/2 weeks ago! I then told her about visajourney.com, and pointed out the timeline information. We talked about 30 minutes on the phone, it was very informative on both sides.

What gives? Anyone else from May 3rd approvals get their NOA2 or NVC letter? I still don't have either. I called USCIS, today and eventhough 30 days will not be up until Sunday, the guy submitted the request to issue my NOAs and told me to wait 30 days. headbonk.gif

I also called NVC, because I still haven't gotten a letter from them by post (I did get an e-mail in response my inquiry which said the case had been forwarded to the embass). The lady said they sent and e-mail. I was like yeah, but I never got the hardcopy. She laughed and said she'd put in a request for a hardcopy. Guess she's wondering why I'm fixated on a letter. But I want all our "i's" dotted and "t's" crossed.

I an probably let that NVC letter go, but the NOA2...whats the deal.

Just wanted to share and vent. wacko.gif

We have not seen ANYTHING in writing from USCIS or the NVC since the first week of February when I received the hard copy of NOA1 from CSC. Our NOA2 approval was May 10, NVC received our petition the 18th, the embassy in Kiev received the package the 23rd. "Ski" in Kiev was notified by the embassy May 25th, last Friday. Using the NVC number, she immediately set up the medical for tomorrow! Last night, I called Kiev and set up the interview for Tuesday, July 3.

Maybe you can get the case numbers you need, and do everything without the actual documents.

Hi, George! Yeah, I think I'm just getting really stressed (and excited!). Thankfully, I have the case numbers, and we've already got an interview date. I've been waiting to send Teddy a DHL package until I get the letters because I've heard the Embassy in Ethiopia can be kinda crazy sometimes (for example there is a $100 entrance fee to the Embassy). But I guess we'll be fine without them.

Congrats on the interview date!!!!

Hi ya'll!

So I got impatient last night reading about everybody receiving Packet 3's and interview dates, and decided to email the Embassy. They replied already saying they received our case and are sending me the instructions today! Yippee kicking.gif

I still have to receive some documents Howard sent me last week, but then I can act really fast. Hopefully I can schedule my interview soon and be with my Love-Bug in a couple of weeks.

Ahh... George
Len & How
Hi my fellow January filers!

I want to share the good news with you: I received the instruction package from the embassy today, yippee! Friday they emailed me they would send it on that day (June 1), but it wasn't postmarked until yesterday (June 5). I wonder if Mr. President's visit to Prague messed them up over there. huh.gif

It isn't important, anyways. The instructions didn't say anything about returning forms back to them, I was just told to call them to schedule an interview once I have collected all listed items. So I did call right away, because thanks to VJ I have everything ready, of course. wink.gif First I was disappointed that the phone number they gave me didn't really work, it was just a recorded information line without any prompts or options. Only on the 4th try I was successful getting hold of somebody by hitting "0". The first available date was June 19th 15.30, so I grabbed it. Little disappointed again that I couldn't get appointment next week. Oh well. We are still very happy that I'll be home soon!!

I can start packing, yahooooo!! kicking.gif
carla-justin
Im here also to share some good news, but first congrats Len & how, ok: VISA IN HAND!!!
I am very excited!!! My SO is at work and doesnt know it yet.
Thanks 4 your support guys.

I am concerned about something guys:
Last year I got deported from the UK, because I was intending to stay there for 3 months, and I couldnt proof i had enough funds, credit cards werent enough, etc.... long story. I got sent back to the US, not even to Mexico. Now I live in Austria and I am flying to NY this friday but i connect in London. I am afraid of getting deported again and sent back to Austria, what should i do? and where should i post this question?
thanks smile.gif
