believe it or not, they are asking for IMBRA waiver! My SO (the USC) married a German in 2000 while he was in the US on a journalist visa so we answered YES to question 11 on the I-129F

But that was years ago! And Anna never filed for any other K1 or K3 or anything so why the hell do they come up with IMBRA?
Anyways, I will do some research now and I hope a simple letter will solve this issue.

It appears we're caught in the "January NOA1 Doldrums." There are many, many February NOA1s that already have their NOA2s. I'll probably get an RFE next week, dated three weeks ago...

We've been RFE'd as well, and it seems to be taking FOREVER for them to get to it!!!

Though I wonder if AMBRA is interfering in some way shape or form...

I called CSC, my petition is still on the hold shelf. I asked the guy if he could light a fire under someone's butt but they are "untouchables"! lol He did say things are slow because of the work visas, a whole backlog of them. He also said he might go to another country to find the love of his life! lol He was nice.

How did you get someone at CSC to tell you your file is in a "hold" area? Or was he speaking only in general about a "hold" area? I've never gotten anyone at the USCIS customer service 1-800 number to do anything but read what I see on line: 'On January 26 we received your I-129f..."

I called both USCIS and the NVC. USCIS has no new information, RFE or otherwise. Just the standard "We received your application... pending." NVC has not received my package from CSC yet.

Black hole is a good description. We don't know if our files were approved a week ago, if we must wait another two months then an RFE, or our files are completely lost! Not knowing is the worst part.

Thank you for thinking of us, Luis! Well, we got good news today. I emailed to NVC last Thursday and they replied back that our case was already forwarded to the embassy. So I have no idea what date our NOA2 is, when it was received at NVC or when it left. But the most important thing is that I can expect my Package 3 any day now. We are sooo excited! It was a very stressful time...

I'd call them 20 times a day if I thought it would help! BTW, who would I call? The 150% friendly but 0% helpful people at 1-800-375-5283?? I've called them three times. They just read to me from the information on line: "Current Status: Case received and pending. On January 26, 2007, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how..."

Man, CSC SUCKS!

They are exceedingly friendly huh? I got one the other day however who did not just read me the info that On Jan 3, blah blah blah, but took out his rules manual and proceeded to read without breathing when it was appropriate for me to call and ask...not past the "normal" status for this case etc all without taking a breath..would not let me interrupt!! I kept saying like yes I understand but...he didnt stop kind of like a cops camera man, nothing was getting in his way!!! I was afraid to just hang up because what if he put bad remarks on my case???!!! 22 minutes this man read to me and all I had for the call was 22 minutes of peak talk time and a headache lol.

I cant believe that some of you January fliers have not received your NOA2 yet what is wrong with the CSC

This isn't fair at all. Here i am being all excited that March people are finally being touched but then January people still haven't gotten their NOA2?? This is the epitome of unfair. I just don't understand how they can do this to people. I mean, it's almost encouraging people to come here illegally. Why should anyone go thru this horrible process when if they came here illegally they'd get to stay with little penalty. It's just not right.

I agree with you so much here we are trying to bring a loved one here but if they come here illegally their are people in this country that want to give a path to citizenship I say what after what we have all been thru and most of us are still not done my fiance is from the Philippines all we want is just to be together and she actually wants to become a US Citizen but she wants to do it the right way I swear if she gets denied at her interview in the US Embassy i am going to send her to mexico pick her up and bring her over the boarder this process takes to long and these people have people lives on hold and all we can do is sit and wait and hope I am so tired of this process i just want my fiance here and now all these illegal aliens where are their police clearance where are their interviews who are these people what are their backgrounds i once heard Geraldo Rivera say on TV that most illegal aliens dont commit crimes I say 100 percent commit crimes hense the word illegal alien they should all have to do this process just like we do so about the rambling but i am just mad

I spoke with a very helpful woman at CSC using the RFE line. She gave me the status of my case completely and turned out to be very accurate. Yes, she read me the standard line also but I was able to "read between the lines" while talking to her. I kissed her butt, was very polite, and engaged in some dialogue. Keep trying, kiss ###, and listen for subtle hints. It worked for me.

If you are the very few of Jan. filers with no touches or anything. I would call CSC and act like if you had received an RFE or even a NOA2....and ask them if they can give you the date it was mailed out. This will probably make the CSC officer spill her/his beans. They might say, well you dont have an RFE, or no NOA2. Or something of that nature. Or they might say we mailed your petition to NVC on such and such date. I say play with their minds until you get some clues on to whats going on with your approval.

My I-129f was touched May 10 and again May 11. The only information I've been able to get from USCIS' 800 number is no RFEs, and NVC says they do not have my file.

What is CSC's RFE line??

Thanks for the suggestions. I got my first touch Thursday May 10, another Friday May 11. Customer Service at USCIS says only "Pending." I called NVC's customer service Monday, they had not received my file.
