Yes. My RFE was for "photographs together." Well, I have no photographs of us together because I hate having my picture taken. Therefore, I had my sister write a declaration that she was with me when I met my SO. I also submitted a complete copy of her passport to show that we were in Brazil at the same time. I also resubmitted hotel receipts, boarding passes, itineraries, etc.

I did not need to use photoshop because I was approved without submitting any photographs.

I sent an email to USCIS to complain about the online notification system as well as the 2 people I spoke to regarding my RFE. Let's see if I get an answer...

So, 2 weeks ago I sent an email to my senator's office asking for help with my case. Today I got an email from one of his assistants telling me "I learned that your petition was approved two weeks ago and that the “validity dates” are from May 1, 2007 to August 31, 2007. The records show that you’re approval notice hasn’t gone out so I emailed California USCIS and asked them to do that pronto."

So infuriating, that I've been worrying and freaking out, and it was approved the whole time! But it's still such good news. Now I have to figure out if it's made it to NVC... I'm on hold as I type

The online notification system really sucks!! I'm just trying to have Howard call the USCIS number now but he can't get to a live person...

On the brighter side, I went to my GP yesterday to pick up my medical records and also had my chest X-rayed. I need to bring this stuff to my medical exam. So I'm almost ready for our embassy stage. I just need a notarized I-134 (I already have the supporting docs) and a copy of NOA2. Come on, CSC!!!

Just got off the phone with NVC. They received the case on May 14th and it should be sent out today. Yipee!!!

Well, Howard just got off the phone with USCIS. He spoke to a nice lady who though didn't tell him anything new, just that our petition was received on 1/30 and it's pending. She didn't see any updates on her screen either (those touches we had last week). But she said we could call and inquire anytime.

"Ski" and me were touched twice last week, but no news since. Earlier today I called customer service and the very pleasant service representative recited the online paragraph "On January 26, 2007 we received your I-129f...." Then I asked the very pleasant service rep for more information about when I can expect to hear something. I was informed they were now working on October 15 fiancee visa applications, so I had almost four more months to wait!

Maybe I should contact my Congressman or Senators and have them wake up someone at CSC with a bonk on the head.

The USCIS telephone information and help staff are the nicest kindest people! They are eager to assist any way that they can! Which is nothing... And please call them anytime for more of the same...

Thanks for all the congrats Len and How - sorry to hear about the frustration. I have to agree that the CSC has been pretty pathetic for our cases! Future Mrs, SkyMas, and everyone who's still waiting, I hope it won't be too agonizing.

It's about a month longer waiting for the NOA2 than expected.

As of my last check, there are 28 filers who received their NOA1 the last week of January. Twelve are still waiting for their NOA2. I hope we all hear good news tomorrow or Friday!

So I think I'm going to try calling the NVC tomorrow to see if our petition has been approved (2 weeks since our last touch ) since USCIS isn' helpful. Do they require the approval date or can I just give them our names/birthdates etc?

I´m new here. But I´m still waiting too...

Sometimes I question the efficiency of the damn CSC! I called again today and guy #2 proceeded to tell me that there is no record of them having received my RFE and he said the first lady I spoke with on Monday was wrong! OMG! I wish these people would pull their heads out of their arses and get on the same page!

Sorry, I am just plain tired of everything and if I didn't love Marlon so much I would give up! Dear God please help ALL of us!

I sympathize with your difficulties. We have been asked to show more than the expected amount of patience.

You only question their efficiency sometimes? I question it on a daily basis hourly basis. This really sucks. i am so sorry you're getting such a huge run around from them. But I'm rooting for you! I know it will all work out soon and in when you and Marlon are together again, you'll barely remember all of these headaches because you will be endlessly happy.

I'm sorry your feeling so distressed. I understand the difficulty of this process and the unnerving USCIS. This whole RFE thing has thrown me into a complete tizzy, with the thought that it might now get stuck in the black hole of petitions sitting somewhere, like we have seen happen. I am with you in your despair!!!! Chin up. I hope you hear something soon. Tell your congressman to light a fire under their booties!!!

When I called NVC, I just gave them our USCIS case number (WAC...) Then they asked me for the beneficiary's birthdate, etc. If it has reached them, that's all they'll need to find it. Good luck!

I phoned the NVC last night (PH time), the nice lady on the phone asked for the receipt number.. I was abit expecting her to say that they do not have our receipt number on their record but she followed up with questions: What is the beneficiary's name and birthdate. I gave the details and she said "and the petitioners' number is blah blah blah. We received this petition May 15.."

Woooww!! I really ran out of words and just told her "Oh, really?!" (LOL) "Thank you".. Forgot to ask if we already have a case number.. Anywho, I'm really happy that we havent gotten an RFE (after all this time that we are expecting we will)..

The lady from my congressman's office called to tell me that she spoke with CSC and the lady was nice and told her it can take about 2 weeks to enter my RFE information and update my account. The lady told her to call again next Friday.

It's great your application is moving forward, but I'm surprised how little new information a congressman's influence gets. Your information helps us, though. My last touch was May 11, two weeks will be next Friday, May 24th. Thank you for posting the update.

I should have flown "Ski" to Mexico last December, then just drove across the border. She could have full U.S. citizenship before the general elections November 2008!

Sky, have you tried calling the NVC or for an RFE? They are being SO horrible about e-mailing and sending out the paper copy. I can't believe how many of us who were touched twice and then heard nothing actually had been approved with the 1st touch.
