I'm a January filer, and NVC received my case TODAY, 3 weeks and a day from my NOA2. So don't despair all of you!

How do you find out when NVC gets your stuff after you get NOA2? Will it give you another notice?

I hope too.. If they grant our NOA2 (at least) until this month ends, I will be flying to CO by August too. If not , it'll be September. How far is Pensacola from Miami? My fiance and I are thinking if we should accept my in-laws offer to hold our wedding in Miami.

You can call or email them. We did both but we got lucky in writing them than getting a hold of a live person. You will also receive a letter from NVC once they're done checking on your case and has forwarded it to the consulate.

Just getting started on the checking with NVC thing I can't believe how much better I feel after NOA2 even if there's still quite a wait!

I called the automated line and it said they had no record of my case, so it hasn't been received (no surprise).

I'm assuming this is as good a way as any to check if they've received it? No benefit to talking to someone in person or waiting for a response by email, right?

Let's hope we all get there in less than 3 weeks!

Call the automated line, but go through the prompts and talk to someone live. The K-1's don't ever get entered in the NVC database, for the automated call line, so there will be no record of your case. Only a live person will tell you if and when they got your petition and forwarded it on to the consulate.

The NVC won't be off for a UK bank holiday. They'll be working on Monday.

New to this post, but we filed our K1 application in mid Jan, received confirmation about the 15th, NOA1 was Apr 06th, NOA 2 about the 27th and my packet 3 arrived from the embassy on Friday. Feeling somewhat foolish as we followed the USCIS timelines and thought we had plenty of time to get police certs etc together, so we are now slightly unprepared documentation wise. Mind it will prob take over a month to get the interview by which time all docs should be in.............. hopefully.

Welcome to VJ! Congrats on your NOA2! I can say I am in the same boat. It took my fiance FOREVER to send away for his police certificate and it can take up to 40 days (more since the mail in Jamaica SUCKS!) So, we may or not have ALL that we need come interview time.

It would be cool if there was a live webcam to the facility, we could see what's going on, what files they are working on... Hm, now I can only dream of somebody finally picking up our file and starting working on it.

It's good to hear that I'm not the only January filer still waiting! I've had graduation this weekend, and I agree with whoever said that the end of the year didn't take my mind off the visa as much as I'd hoped. Plus it was sad not to have my fiance here for the occasion. Hopefully the rest of us will be hearing this week.

You're correct, there is no email for a "touch." But the date for "Last Updated (mm/dd/yyyy)" will change.

I woke up to a new day and as always, I checked our case status first thing in the morning...

And we got TOUCHED!!!!

Yippee! I know it might take a few days or weeks before we get approved (hoping for no RFE), but it is such a great feeling to know something is going on with our petition. I can't help smiling and being happy
