Needed a good laugh. I so sympathize. Feel like I'm going nuts myself sometimes, but thanks for sharing! At least we're not alone in all of this madness! A bit disappointing that the website/email system seems to be a bit rubbish right now!

Thanks for the congrats earlier in the day. It is strange though, I saw my first touch late last night, then very early this morning the thing changed to approved, but it said approved May 1. So they obviously update the online thing at a different time than they actually make the approval. It might be a good idea in that case to make a call.

I hope the rest of you get approvals soon. I was feeling bad because it does set us back a total of 10 or so days longer than we had planned on for being approved (we'd hoped for at least the average). I wanted to have a couple more weeks while I'm still working in Chicago to spend with my fiancee when she gets here, because after that we'll be somewhere boring for a while (she's used to a bigger city).

I think it helps a lot if you have travel plans to go see your fiance/fiancee during this wait. We're hoping that at this point, we have no more than 3 months left in the entire process before she gets her visa, and I'm going this month to visit - the 2 months after that will be the shortest time we've been apart since we first had to be apart. It helps a lot to have some approximate date. When things just seem like they're taking an unknown amount of time, its never fun.

I wish those waiting the best of luck in getting their approvals.

I just called USCIS and I was told that the email notification and system will be down for a couple of days due to an upgrade. My case is still pending...

Congratulations! I got my approval via e-mail today (May 2) too! But the same thing happened to me. I was actually approved on May 1st and got my email at almost 9am (mountain time) today.

Well guys, I'm gonna be positive here and believe that those of us with two touches have been approved and its on the way in the mail! I can't believe the upgrade has to happen now, just when we need an email the most. Although hopefully it will be fixed for the rest of you guys!

I really do pray that all January filer will get NOA 2 real soon since they have slowly started with Feb filer..

I don't know what they're doing... but I noticed on the timelines NOA1 of 1/24 and after have gotten little action. You can see this on fwaguy's page.

I was touched on the 26th of April. I called USCIS today and the young lady I spoke to on the phone basically said that my application was still pending that that it may take upto six months!!

I tried that route of wanting to change address; but she was not able to help.

I'm hoping for approval BEFORE the six months she so casually mentioned!!

I think she was just reading me the standard line; but it really sucks that it's such a causal environment there!!

The "6 months" USCIS always mentions is just the standard reply. I'm still counting on what the Customer Service agent told me when I called about two weeks ago. He said there was a large increase on all visa apps the middle of January. This would add another two weeks to a month to the backlog.

I had no touches when I got my NOA2, only an email of approval. Good luck to the rest of you, almost at the halfway point or better.

The estimated timelines on VJ seem to be a good measure to go by. At least they were for us because our estimate was May 17th and we just received out NOA2 this morning! Also, to anyone who has not received any touches, we didn't receive any either so it is not necessarily a bad sign. Three months of silence and then GREAT GLORIOUS DAY!

I'm afraid I'm going to have one of those moments when I'm angry at someone else's good fortune . . . especially when it pops up in the January thread!!!!! Can I now add Feb filers to my list of VSC filers in the category of "don't want to be jealous, but am!"

Just to triple confirm. The 'biographical' page on a passport is the front page where all the info is listed correct? eg name, place of birth, the photo etc????

I'm with you TimsDaisy! I'm really going crazy today. Touched last wed and thurs and still nothing!!! I can't get past the first level on the customer service calls. I hope our cases were approved last week, but I really want to KNOW!!!

tim, you have nothing to be envious about. Look at the big picture, you dont have to deal with a communist country! chances are, you will probably finish the process before me. VN has a tendency to linger around, and has a high rate of FAILURE. Think positive, a lot of you guys are dealing with much friendlier environments.

Looks like the email system is working. And the CSC employee probably B.S.'d her way out of giving some good customer service when she told Future that the emails were down. Or they fixed it in 1 day...lol
