I wonder if it is an update issue. My congressman checked on my K1 and said that I was approved on Monday. But I don't have an NOA2. I was touched on Monday and Tuesday.

Two NOA2 for February. In all fairness, it is for an early Feb filer...mailed off application on Jan 29 recvd NOA1 on Feb 5. The anticipation is getting palpable....I'm sure the second half of Jan filers will be approved very soon....w/in this week!

I love my VJ friends I did read that another January filer got her NOA2 yesterday, UZUME, her NOA1 date was 1/17/07.

I am rooting for ALL of us, GO CSC GO!

Definitely sounds like emails and online updates are screwed up again. If I were any of you who had recent 'touches', I'd be calling to see if you may have gotten approved.

Okay, I just got off the phone with CSC and they told me we were approved pending supervisor approval? This lady told me that once the case worker approves it goes to the supervisor to approve it as well. She said it could be sent to NVC in the next week or maybe 4. WTF?! Anyone ever heard this? I mean I'm glad they said approved but seems like a bit of a tease when they say "Pending"?!

That's a new one on me! I'd have to re-read Huskerkiev's thread for sure, but I am pretty sure that case workers approve cases on their own, without supervisor review.

Unless maybe this case worker is a new employee or something (and this is standard procedure during a new employee's probationary period - if there is one)?

I just joined yesterday and was soooo happy to find you all. Our case was touched at CSC last Wed and Thurs and not since.

How do you get through all the way to the CSC to find out if you have been approved? I've only gotten through to the customer service center where they have the same info that's online.

She addressed herself as "Officer ?" and really used the words "approved pending supervisor approval". She also told me that my address wasn't changed in the system, which I asked our lawyer to do, and she couldn't change it now cause it was already approved. She then said that I have to await the approval in the mail before I call NVC to change the address.

So, I called NVC to see by chance if they already received it and she said "NO"! She told me to call every 2 days to check if they have it.

I don't know what to think....happy or very confused!?

I was going through address change and they directed me to a live person. Okay, I listened to the D### automated system at least 3 times to get where I needed to go.

Guys, you call the cust. service number that was listed on your NOA1. That's the only number we have.

To get to a live person - go through the prompts as if you want to change your address.

I think even the folks who answer the phones are technically 'officers'.

Calling the NVC every 2 days will likely be a lesson in futility, at least until you get past the 'pending supervisor approval' stage. I'd call the same number back in a few days to see if you're past that - then start worrying about the NVC.

Hopefully it won't take weeks to get to the NVC, but that seems to be the norm anymore.

Thanks FutureMrs! I hope it really is approved and just waiting to go out to NVC. I need more proof before I celebrate though! I suspect there is a huge stack of approved files jsut waiting for the stamp from the boss before going out to NVC.

I just gave her a bollocking on the phone. Have to say it felt pretty good to yell at someone!

Just called the customer service # hoping to get more specific info, but the lady couldn't tell me anything but that my case is still pending, and not something specific like pending supervisor's approval.

Anyway, I really hope that supervisor comes in today and approves all of our cases! I need some good news!!

I really think she only told me cause I was trying to verify my change of address. When she told me that it hadn't been changed and I requested to change it she said she couldn't cause it was already approved.

I just changed my address too and said I wanted to check if it had been changed yet, and she said she couldn't see any of my personal information.

Did they transfer you actually to someone at the CSC somehow?

I just called them, agghhrrr the guy was so rude, first he read me the: ON JANUARY 18TH, we recived this blah blah blah,...... then when i was about to ask him a question he said that is all the information i have, then he said they are processing october, i explained him that wasnt true etc.... the whole story about january fillers, what we called "touch", that i got some of those last week, blah blah, and that there was something wrong because they werent updating approvals etc. After 3 minutes of non-stop talking, he said Ok that is all they info. we have, is there something else i can do 4u? WHATTTTTT I FLIPED OUT AND STARTED YELLING WHERE IS MY APPROVAL, I KNOW YOU HAVE IT, SEND ME MY APPROVAL,!!!

Unfortunately, they are told to give the 'company line' - which is to say that you're still within processing times if you sent in your petition after October 2006. They don't really give a toss what you have read on a message board, or that you were 'touched'. They are instructed to give you the information they are allowed to give you or change your address in the system if need be- nothing more. It is frustrating, but it wasn't really fair to yell at him, nor did it even make sense for you to demand your approval from him. He is not a case worker, he's a poor guy who has to answer the phone and tow the company line.

I know you're frustrated - I was too. But yelling at someone to approve you (particularly when they couldn't approve you if they wanted to) doesn't help matters any.

yeah , i did, and also after the 3rd time he repeated THEY ARE PROCESSING NOW OCTOBER!! I said: that is a lie and we both know it because now is the turn of the january fillers, the guy probably thought i was completely insane, I mean the only ones who know what january fillers mean is us, the vj's crew.

Let me ask you something: when you are pis*** do you think clearly?? of course not, and sometimes people dnt make any sense when they are mad, well that is exactly what happened to me, If the guy would had been nice to me, I am sure I hadnt said anything but thank you and have a nice day. I know he cannot give me my approval.... but whatever..... I did it that's it, there is nothing i can do to take it back

YEAH!! i saw it hahaha, I guess my case is going to the very bottom of the pile Well, that will teach me, next time I will just do what I normally do when I feel frustrated about my case, call my fiancee and yell for a couple of minutes about how upset I am with the USCIS processing times.

When I'm pi$$ed off, I do tend to be slightly more irrational, but not illogical (hence 'give me my approval') - but that's just me. When I called that same number, I expected them to tell me exactly what they told me (that I was pending - nothing more), so I wasn't pi$$ed off when that was all I heard.

His rudeness is definitely uncalled for. I know you can't take it back. I was just trying to understand your line of thinking (and how you know you're already approved).

anyway - just called. got a nice woman on the phone. who told me nothing that wasn't already on the computer screen. oh well. i'm no worse off than i was a few minutes ago. i was impressed that there wasn't a long hold time, at least. didn't really get my hopes up prior to dialing. a lot less disappointing than two touches followed by a huge pile of nothing.

Anyway, yeah she told me exactly what it says online, blah blah blah. I told her that I had gotten 'touched' last week - she was like "you got WHAT?" - LOL. She asked if it had been within 6 months of me filing yet....grrrrrrrrrrrr. I told her that I just wanted to make sure the online notification was working right....

What the heck # did you guys push to actually talk to a human being??? I wonder if I call and press the 'change of address' number I'll get better info like a previous poster got. Jeez, somebody just wake me when all of this is over.

It really depends, I have talked to helpful people...then I have talked to the standard run of the mill government sheep(follow all the same drills for answering questions over and over again)...

Man, I wonder if I should contact my congressman too? I think next week if I haven't heard anything or gotten something in the mail...

It does sound like there's a newbie working or maybe the supervisor has been out sick or something and that's why there are all these touches and nothing else. (Let's hope...).

Sorry if i didn't catch this and you wrote it before...what does it show in your online status? Still the original message about receipt in january? And then just the newer date so you know it was touched? Status still only says "pending"?

Can I make an observation that I've noticed while reading all of your comments? You need to go outside and do something to take your mind off of this for a while. I think you are driving yourselves nuts. hehehe. Relax and let the process run its course. You won't help anything by yelling at the USCIS. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. You are either too blindly obsessed or your just too ignorant to understand the implications your yelling might have potentially caused you. 5 years ago my brother and his wife waited 9 months for their NOA2. No RFE's. Just 9 months of waiting. And then about 6 more months because the Philippines is very slow. I think the USCIS has improved immensely over the past 5 years in their turn around time. I just got my NOA2 in 3 months. And you will get yours soon also. But you must be patient and kind and praying for helps too.

It still shows that my case is pending. I asked the women about that and she said when the supervisor approves then it will change.

Thats all easier said than done, when you see people being approved that filed AFTER you have

Ummmm yes, but I have been waiting for 119+ days....approval @ 90 days sounds like a big, wet dream to me at this point! LOL.

TimsDaisy, I work with a girl that is moving to the UK to marry a British guy and her approval was finished in a week or 2.

I told my guy to just go to Mexico and make a run for the border. LOL. He'd probably end up on CNN if he got busted though. JUST KIDDING!

That's great - and I'd move to the UK if we had no other options. But I'd rather not live there. I love that country, don't get me wrong - but its sad to me to see the state of things there.

It is very exciting to see so much action around here lately. I'm happy for everybody that gets touched or approved (even better!). It is sad though that every time I check our status, it is still the same...

I called USCIS again just now and found out I was APPROVED back on April 24th!! I posted a new topic on it. Ridiculous how the online status didn't change, nor was I sent any emails. FIGURES!!!

THe officer I spoke with didn't mention anything about pending approval though like another VJer mentioned...
