Invitation for all January filers to post in this tread. The purpose for us January filers to keep each others updated. Updated on NOA1's & NOA2's etc. If we know one of us gets a NOA2....then the rest of us have just a short time to wait.

1/22/07: I-129F sent to CSC
1/23/07: I-129F packet received and signed for at 9:45A.M.!!

I'm waiting for the NOA1

I sent in paperwork today to arrive tomorrow at 10am. Files sent to VSC.

I sent my I29 on January 23 to the CSC. No word yet as to whether the packet was received.

We mailed our package on 1-17-07 to TSC, it was received there on 1-22-07.

Mailed ours on the 12th from Canada, it got to Nebraska on the 17th and now waiting for NOA1. sigh.

I checked USPS and CSC received my package today at 10:29am!!! YAY!

I checked UPS and package was signed for today at 10:54AM yeah!!!!

Still awaiting NOA1 - but expect it to arrive today or tomorrow.

For the folks that mailed their packets to CSC....did "Nguyen" sign for it?

What a great idea to keep in touch!
My Fiance sent our I-129F to CSC on Jan 24th, so we are expecting the return receipt and NOA1 any day now.

Let's hope for speedy approval for everyone!

I may be tresspassing because I'm not a january filer but I wanted to tell all of you good luck!

If you have online access to your cleared check, you can fetch your case # days before the NOA1 arrives.

Also, all VSC people should be shot for NOT having to endure a solid 3-mos wait JUST KIDDING.

For the people that filed on the week of 1/22, have you received NOA1 yet? I haven't received anything, getting worried.

You need to consider the date your case is actually created at CSC. From then it is 5 to 10 days until you receive a hardcopy in the mail. So, if you don't find your hardcopy in the mail next week, then you can be a little worried.

I'm sure your case is already pending by now.

I got nothing yet. Plus nobody signed for my package, all I got was a date stamp lol Still waiting for the check to be cashed as well.

Out of curiousity, who did you make the check out to? I made mine out to California Service Center, is that alright?!?!?!?!

I made mine to the "Department of Homeland Security", I think thats what the I129 mentions....now you got me worried. I should've avoided this and just put CASH on the check.

My Mister made the cheque out to "Department of Homeland Security". It's what the I-129F guide stated. Best of luck!!

Sent on December 29th and was recivied January 4th and NOA was January 9th now hurry up and wait.

My fiance addressed it too to Homeland Security. I guess we have read instructions before sending it that it should be address to Homeland.

Hello everyone, I mailed my K1 on January 22. I have not heard back for the NOA1 but should soon I hope. I sent it to Nebraska, so it will take more time transfering I guess.

It does feel good to finally start, though. It took us awhile to get all the paperwork done.

I have never wanted a check to be cashed sooo bad lolol - usually its the other way around. So they received our packet friday - cash the dayum check!!!!

My package was received in Nebraska on the 17th and still haven't received my NOA1 yet. I had to send a money order since checks aren't really available in Thailand, so I don't know if its been cashed. I'm hoping it is just taking so long because it takes a long time to post something to Thailand.

The instructions on the I 129f say to make it out to 'USCIS' (written out) or Department of Homeland Security.

Why in the world would 'CASH' be an acceptable alternative? That would have achieved nothing except them likely sending you the entire package back to you.

Filing instructions are provided for a reason. The answer to this question is in the instructions to the I-129F, checks made payable to the "DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY".

Nothing you can do now... they might not even look at the payable and just endorse and cash it... My check too about 10 days to clear....

And worst case scenario is they'll send you back your entire package. You write out a new check, remail it and you're on your way again.

January filer here... I was looking at our timeline and it says at the bottom that our application could be "adjudicated by May 13th." What exactly does this mean? I looked that word up and it doesn't make sense. Thanks!

Adjudicated, in the sense of your timeline anyway, means the date by which you would likely receive an approval of the petition (NOA2).

We haven't gotten NOA1 yet either. And the check hasn't been cleared either. We made it payable to Department of Homeland Security. I read that "USCIS" would work too.

Yep. Try to calm down. It took 28 days for me to receive the NOA1. I also sent it out of San Francisco.
