I e-mailed the NVC to ask if they had recieved my case, i got this reply....

Dear Sir or Madam,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC has completed its processing of the visa petition you mentioned in your letter and has forwarded the petition to the assigned US Embassy for further processing.

Any further inquiries should be directed to the assigned US Embassy listed below.

Also, do i recieve any written confimation this has happened? And how do I find out London got my case?

Thankyouuuuu! x

It does indeed mean that your case is on its way to London for final processing. Basically when I received that same notice, my interview date was 4 weeks later and I was notified by post. I have to say that I was so nervous going to the US embassy in London but including queueing in the morning, my entire wait was 1.5 hours. They asked me two questions, my fiance's name and what state he lived in, and then said "welcome to the US". I was petrified going in and elated coming out!

Oh and by the way make sure you pay for the next day delivery service when your passport with visa is returned to you. The company is called SMS (secure mail services) and they do all the courier deliveries for the US embassy in London. They are based in the embassy and you are asked to see them before you leave. I think the total was £28 for me and the company was great in delivering.

Good luck and Im sure by March you will have your visa !!

Great news for you all the best and trust me your stuff will be sent to London faster than you think...I can't believe that we got our packet 3 today...after it just got to London on Jan 17th...I wish you all the best of luck and the journey continues...

Yes, your case is sent to the Embassy from NVC. You can email the Embassy to find out whether they received your case or not. Usually the Embassy should receive a case from the NVC within two weeks.
