Employees will make $15,500 to $17,000 during their six-month stint (based on a 371/2-hour week), plus a $1,800-per-month, tax-free stipend with room and board included.
MissStacey
I have Tim Hortons coffee maker and I buy cases of the fine grind packages.
CutienPurg
I laughed my ### off when my husband told me about the Tim Horton's going there. He said " hey, the soldiers just couldn't live without their Timmies " I said " yeah, they could have asked for hookers and booze but instead they asked for TIMS!" That's gotta tell ya something........I think TH should use that in their new marketing campaign.
flames9
Actually There have been a few Timms comercials that involve the Cdn Armed Forces, one revolved around the Navy.

I still hold high hopes that Timmy's will wind up in Georgia. Aren't they owned or subsidized (or something) by Wendy's? If so, we should petition Wendy's to bring it to the good ol' South!
flames9
Yep, i do belive Wendy's now owns Tims!!
Kathryn41
Yeah, Wendy's owns Timmies - but they are still privately 'owned' franchises - need someone to buy a franchise!
flames9
Maybe we all need to chip in. Once I'm done school, I'll move, lol

MissStacey
The only one I have seen so far in the US was at the Houston airport.

More Tims up in the North east. I know RI has a few of them. Doesn't quite tatse the same. First time in there I orderd a XL triple cream. She returns with this huge styrofoam cup with ice and cold coffee!!. I guess in hot coffee they only have a large(which is XL in canada)
MissStacey
As much as I love my Timmies- I'm on my second cup right now smile.gif I really miss the coffee Mel makes. He does cold drip coffee. He has a special filter and glass container you can buy at any Italian grocery or probably most specialty coffee places. He uses a New Orleans blend coffee- you add a pound of coffee, fill with cold water and let it soak for a few days. Then you release the plug and let it drain into the container. It is really rich and delicious. It is very smooth too, not bitter at all. From there you can add a shot to your mug, lots of milk and sugar and heat it in the microwave. Or drink it straight up, however you like.

I've use more crest whitestrips when I drink it, but it's worth it. good.gif

Houston airport has one? Oh my! Joe's family live near Houston and we fly in there when we visit - next time we are definitely going through the terminal and getting a Timmie's before we pick up luggage and go to meet our ride!

You know, I just mentioned to my husband and a visiting friend of his that there are Tim Horton's in Afghanistan for the Canadian troops, and they responded 'Wow, now that's really supporting the troops!" Hehehe
MissStacey
If you go to the Houston airport- eat at Papasito's (I think that is the name) in the food court. Awesome Mexican food! And you can get a Margarita there too. Yum. When I book my flights, I look for the ones with a long stopover in Houston. smile.gif
Kathryn41
Thanks Stacey,

We generally arrive or depart from Houston instead of stopovers, however, if we get a long wait before our flight out I will definitely keep that in mind!
