Hi. I have just a few quick questions for anyone that has gone through this before. My husband and his brother who are LPR's would love for their mother to come and visit us here in the US. She is a Moroccan citizen and will have 5 grown children who remain in Morocco, she owns a home there and is an older woman. My question is, what are the odds of her getting a visit visa? While they seem to think her age will help, I am inclined to think that immigration might think she is more apt to stay because of her age? Also when/ if they decide to apply for her visa will they be able to enter the consulate to help her? She speaks no English and is illiterate in Arabic and French (Morocco's national languages). Also would it be helpful for my husband to include with the proof for her visa, copies of mine and my sister in law's passports? (We are both USC). We really don't want to go through the hoops if the odds of her getting the visa are low. Thanks for any help that can be given!

Nobody can tell you what the odds are, there is not a mathematical calculation.
Does she have a husband? It seems easier if only one spouse is travelling.
Your passports are irrelevant.
How is she funding the trip?

Her husband is deceased. My husband and I and his brother and sister in law will be paying for the trip and her expenses while here. As a widow in Morocco she is supported by the rest of the family.
I ask what the odds are as visas from Morocco seem to be few and far between. We want to be prepared for whatever may happen.

Not being able to fund her own trip does not help, in these cases it seems normal to submit an I-134 for the applicant to take to the interview along with a letter of invitation. Probably a good idea to include in the letter of invitation a brief resume of her situation, basically her need to return. - Unfortunately we can only aske her to come for a month as she needs to return as she owns a house and has many family members etc etc.
Interviews tend to be short, you pays your $100 and you either get a visa or you do not.
You might also want to post in the MENA forum, there may well be people who have first hand knowledge of the Consulate.

AmeraMouttaki,
You seem to know already what the odds are.
