Just curious how many times you all have made trips out to your SO since you filed for your K-1, K-3 or CR1.

mybackpages
None, but its taken less than 5 months and we filed immediately after the last visit. It was hard not to go over the holiday break!
JODO
once.
CherryXS
No trips to India; one to MI after she entered US (to do marriage).

One trip to MI (Vasaar and Novi--attended Sunday at CCC) AFTER marriage.

Been to Turkey 3 times, and thanks to a damn RFE we just learned about today, from the NVC , which will delay or case even more, it might even be up to 4 eventually. mad.gif

And if you count the times my wife has come from there......to here....to visit, then that's 4 more trips........for a total of 7 so far. wacko.gif (Since that category wasn't a part of your poll , though, I didn't count those in the vote.)

But nothing else we can do, ...........................until some day we get the visa. helpsmilie.gif

As the beneficiary, I would be highly suspect. However, after the snow begins to leave the Montana highways, there is a plan to have the petitioner visit. smile.gif

I visited my fiancee twice prior to K1 application and the last one was November '06, then we filed our case in December. It's been 2 months and I'm missing her. Thinking about going back in PI sometime in March or once we got our NOA2.

Would those of you that traveled since filing agree that it made it easier or harder for you in terms of missing your SO?

Sorry that I didn't have the option of the foreign SO visiting. Mine is not able to get a visitor visa so I guess I was just thinking along those lines. smile.gif
*Marilyn*
hubby visited me up in Canada, at least once every other month after we filed.... took about a year to get the visa from the time we filed....

For me the separation since the most recent post-petition visit (it has only been three weeks) has been the hardest
Beachmouse
We filled the petition when I was visiting him and we haven't seen each other since I left in September. We want to save the money for our wedding but now I wish we would have planned a smaller wedding and he would have come visiting me. unsure.gif

I filed the I-130 in April 06, and I went to visit in June 06.....and he was in the USA in Oct. 06

After filing, I visited my fiance once.

I only went once before we filed(of course I wanted to go a lot more than once! But wasn't possible). So I wasn't able to see him during our visa process.
deathbydalbhat
Have not filed K-1 yet(waiting for his passport photo....) mad.gif

I(USC) will be visiting him exactly 3 months from today - not that I'm counting or anything... whistling.gif
Hopefully his interview will be during that time....
antoniostar
Twice,,, last February to the Phillipines for the formal engagement and then last July in Japan for our interview. I would say it definitely made the wait easier !!

Cheers good.gif

I was visiting when we filed our I-129F in October, so maybe that counts as half a visit. wink.gif

He'll be arriving on Saturday to visit me in London though - yay! So, make that... one and a half. smile.gif

I visited my man 8 times over 2 years...................I went to Dublin 3 times after filing the K-1.

he is here with me now Thank God!!!!
novotul
I've been over there 14 times (I think, but I might have lost count) over the past five years. I was lucky, my former job sent me there. But now I think we won't see each other until she gets her visa ... I've got a new job, better in every way but one.
MrsAyilliath
8 visits in 11 months time with another visit scheduled for April 24. We try to not let more than 2 months pass before seeing one another again. One of the trips however was "free" because of all of the miles I had built up going back and forth. I also lived there for three months last year. Hopefully all of this will be over soon and I won't have to endure a 16 hour plane ride to India anymore.
~Chad~
I need to change my vote. I initially voted none when this poll was first posted, but I recently planned for a second trip. Too bad I couldn't be there for the interview, but oh well.
sereia
i will visit in a few weeks...for two weeks.

then if the visa is still not approved by june, i will go then again for 2-4 weeks.

hopefully there is time for only one visit!!!!!!!!! biggrin.gif

Before we filed, I'd been there many times. Since we filed in October, I've been there three times. I definitely think it makes this process easier, knowing either we'd just seen each other, or we were about to. Fortunately, Paris isn't TOOOOOO far (6 ish hours by plane from Boston), and most of the time I get a good airfare (except Christmas, and I couldn't NOT go for Christmas again this year...)
