Let's pray to whoever (GOD or BUDDHA or ETC.) that all the VJ members will get the PINK SLIP. For my case, I called them yesterday. They told me call back in the middle of the month and they will let me know. I just hope that Andrew va Thuy, Huan, ME and whoever i miss in here will get our interview in March.

andrew va thuy
Yes yes thanks Kevin ! Curious they refer to the middle of the month. It also seems like the last batch of dates came about mid Jan. I would have thought they would be processing new dates at least every several days with their workload or a continuous stream. Middle of the month is about New Year. Lets hope they reply laughing.gif

I guess that is the normal answer they usually will give. I will call back next week to check because i don't trust those vietnamese people working in there. They thought they are gods and abuse the system. Anyway.. in the mean time we can just be prepare all the paper works for the interview.

Gosh, thanks to the Instruction Package 4 from David-Hien. I just redo my DS-156 for the fifth times. Hopefully, it will be correct. On there, they have one question on section 33. Do you intend to study in the US? I want to put Yes but don't know the school name and the addess yet. So what do you guy put in the box?

And section 39 and 40? what do you guys put in there? I put no on 39 and skip 40.

andrew va thuy
Re-do and re-do forms. If they'd allow us to save & retrieve it might be a little less annoying.

re: 33 ( intend to study ). This form is used for other applicants - not just for K-1, so I plan on saying NO to keep it simple. Once she has the green card I dont think its an issue.

re: 39 & 40. Of course we help. But I'd say no because I think this field is intended for use by an attorney or paid professional , not for help from us. Main things is she understands the fields. I actually plan to JPG a picture a screen shot so she does it herself that ways it really is her not me.
( Unless I can be by her side before the interview and help fill it out - it takes many eyes to get this stuff right )
Fine difference, but I am confident the intent is for some one who cant read or subcontracts the application as in a lawyer.

Your take on it ?

Well, for me i put no on all those questions. I want to keep it simple. Andrew, you can have her practice on those form but i refer we do it here for them and print it out. Cuz, in vietnam not alot of people got access to the printer and print out. So i guess, best that we did it for them and print it out and send it back there for them. Hey, i am going back in Feb 9. Do you want me to bring some of the paper work back to her for you?

I think it will be fine. it's the way their system setup. It took your input and apply another image on top of the actual document.

We sent out the package 3 in December 14th 2006, hope we get the interview date next weeks. Yeah, we are in the same boat. God bless you all!
Also i have a question to you. Do you think it's much better if my fiance is in Vn with me in the interview date?Does it help to gain the chance for the pink slip? We have lawyer in the US who takes care everything for our case. helpsmilie.gif blush.gif

You should ask the lawyer about this matter. My fiance will come to VN with me one day before the interview date and he will come to the Consulate with me. I only hope he can make me be more confident, he cannot come to the interview with me but at least I see him there with me, I miss him too much. It depends on each case status, I cannot say surely about your case.

Yeah, my fiance will be here with me in March for my interview, his sixth time in two yrs, we confirmed the lawyer, they said yes, it would help much for the sucessful interview although they are responsible for my visa issued and responsible to be representative at the court if the worse thing happened; our last decision that he will be with me in the interview date (i just met him last X mas and Western New yr for 10 days and now we have to spend his last vacation days for my interview though ). We will get pink all

God bless you! kicking.gif
