I learned how to knit this weekend. I made a little blankie for the teddy bear my husband gave me last valentines day

Next, I think I'm going to make a scarf for my stuffed cat.
Got stuck in Madison this weekend, and missed work yesterday. I got a winter coat - black wool, kinda pea coat style - for 70% off.
Yup, that's my news. Back to work I go.

Can I borrow your coat??

Sounds like a coat that I've wanted for the past 15 years or so.
I tried to learn knitting. I took a class last year but the class wasn't that great and I have no idea what to do. I haven't given up on the thought but it's not forefront on my mind right now.
But I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with it. They make some really neat yarns these days.

From
JC Penny - they take an extra 40% off at the store

I got the black, not the green.

I had a friend of my grandma's teach me. I got distracted by her beaaaaaautiful persian kitty who loves to snuggle, but I managed to learn how to do the basic stitch, cast on and tie off. Next time I visit my grandma, I'll learn how to pearl I think.

So I called the DOS again this morning...pending. But the lady that answered was actually really nice, she sent an email to follow up on the case to see why the visa had not been issued. Something different.

My assistant laughs everytime I call and they "the next visa specialist will be with you shortly", she also gets a kick out of the way they say "Hello".
Some of are good, some suck. I have a list of the ones I like and don't like, when I get one I don't like I hang up and call back.

Good morning everyone! Oh wait, Good afternoon everyone! Just got to work. I had a doctors appointment this morning for a follow-up on my migraines and had to get some shots. Got called to go into my other job tonight. Not too happy about that, but what can I do? At least I get tomorrow night off instead. My hubby had to go to traffic court this morning and it's been over 3 hours since his scheduled time, and I have yet to hear from him. I'm a little worried since he had to drive all the way to Deleware in the snow. I hope he calls me before 3 or I will be totally freaking out.
Anywho, I love to knit too. I taught myself. The only thing I have knitted so far have been scarves. Pearl isn't too hard, it's pretty much the backwards knit. Once you learn that, you can pretty much do about everything. Good luck Rahma!

I just got off the phone with the phone company (At&T) to discuss a completely different matter and 30 minutes later I was signed up for some completely new services.
I added my cable serivce to Att&T with something called Uverse. They gave me over 300 channels (all the movie packages and a sports package), two free months, free DVR, no instalation fee and a supposedly better picture as it is through high speed fiber optics plus internet at the same price I was paying for much less channels and bad service.
They also lowered by landline phone price, put me on an international plan for morocco at 57cents a minute (it was $4 a minute and I learned that the hard way back in march), and doubled my internet speed.
overall my bills for all of this lowered by abotu $10 a month and i get more stuff!
