Just reading through the Electronic Filing rules for I-765 on the USCIS website. Apparently according to the website K-3'ers cannot apply online for their EAD, but K-1'ers can.

Have any K-1'ers filed electronically for the EAD? Was it any easier/faster than submitting it paperwise?

I've seen people discussing this and the consensus seemed to be that for your first EAD it is best to not file online.
If you file online as K1 it is likely that the EAD will be linked to your K1 status rather than AOS, and will expire shortly after you receive it.
Apparently using for renewal EAD's if necessary is okay.
