Essha, I did not find any examples of a "Letter of Advice" so I just made one up. Here is the letter without the names:
For: Mxxx Xxxx Marriage to Ken Xxxxx
Date: 12 Jan 2007
Subject: Letter of Advice for Marriage
I, XXXX, mother of Xxxxx Xxx, am aware and approve of my daughter’s engagement to Mr. Xxxx. I have given my daughter personal advice of maintaining a successful and happy marriage. I have met Xxx in person on many occasions; he treats Maria and our family with respect. Mr. Xxx has lived in the Philippines for 5 yeas previously and has visited here on many occasions. Xxx understands the Filipino culture and speaks Tagalog, making communication with our family easier. Xxx’s understanding of the Filipino cultures and customs, puts me at ease as I know he understands and will be patient with XXxx.
We are not losing Xxx to Xxxx’s family but rather gaining a wonderful son-in-law. I have talked to Xxxx at length concerning the differences in relationships after getting married and I am convinced she understands and will handle the adjustment well.
Sincerely
Xxxxx X. Xxxxxx
