I do have a question about this e-mail i recieved today. I am hopeing someone can tell me if they are talking about the ds-230 because i am not sure what a ds2001 is thank you

We have received Ms. Baloran's completed Form DS2001. We will send her an appointment packet with instructions on how to arrange an appointment for the visa interview as soon as the internal processing is complete.

DS-2001 is the list of documents needed to be brought to the interview by the beneficiary.

London has a good list:
http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/iv/ds2001.html

Guangzhou China calls it by its older name OF-169
http://guangzhou.usconsulate.gov/uploads/i...A/2._OF-169.pdf

Every embassy and consulate has slightly different list of items, but these 2 links will give you an idea what the document has listed.

iceblue,

DS-2001 (formerly OF-169) may also include a statement that the visa applicant must sign and return to the consulate saying that the applicant has all necessary documents and is ready for interview. Or at some consulates the signed statement may be a separate document.
