I was granted a work authorization at POE and now that I'm adjusting Status (got married on a K1 Visa), I'm submiting form 1-765 as well, since the work aut. has expired.

Should I check the box RENEWAL or PERMISSION TO ACCEPT EMPLOYMENT?

If I check renewal I'll have to answer questions as where I applied before, if I was granted, etc and I didn't do any of this.

The officer at JFK simply stamped the authorization.

I came here on a K1 Visa, but now that I'm married and applying for AOS, what is my current Immigration Status?

Not sure about the work authorization question, but you should put "K-1 Visa holder" as your current status.

I put permission to accept employment, since I have never had a proper EAD I needed to renew (I don't think the temp auth counts).

I read somewhere in these forums that your temp EAD has nothing to do with the 1-year one. Therefore, you would not be "renewing"... you'd be applying for a completely new one.

Yes I was, my temp runs out on wednesday , but I applied pretty quickly and the 90th day falls on the 13th Feb, so not too long to wait! Good luck

It's not a renewal. Your present EA is on the basis of (a)(6), you are now applying for EA on the basis of ( c)(9). New ballgame.
