Hi everyone! I just had my biometrics for EAD and AOS last tuesday. I was wondering when can I start working legally and what proof should I submit to the employer? Thanks.

When you receive your EAD and you should submit that card to your employer.

Can one start working with only the EAD approval notice in hand?

You would have to present your card. yes.gif

You need to receive your EAD and have it in your possession when you are offered a job because you'll need the EAD to fill out the tax forms.

Also, most employers wont let you apply for a job unless you have a valid social security number, for which you need an EAD..

djcess,

You can start working when your employer says that you can start working. In most cases that will be when you have an EAC in hand, but the employer may be willing to let you start working when you can show them that your I-765 has been approved (because if you are EA you have up to 90 days after you start working to show the employer an acceptable EAD.
