Hi All,
Question about applying for the AOS, the medical examination part:

13. I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. (If you already have this from your overseas Visa Interview submit a copy that medical check form; No fee is required in this case. If you are a K-1 fiancé(e) or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement (I-693A), not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your adjustment of status application.)

When I got my K-1 Visa I got a big closed packet that I'm not supossed to open. It's going to be opened at the POE on my trip to USA. Is inside of this package the I-693 ?? or the "medical check form" ?? ... if is inside, they will give it to me ?, if not .. how is the process once I'm overthere ?.
To fly to USA I only need to carry my bags, my passport with the K-1 visa and this closed package .. anything else ?

Thanks and Regards,
Martin

you should have received a copy of ds-3025 from the medical exam. the ds-3025, upon filing for aos, you need to locate a uscis approved civil surgeon to have the vaccinations on the ds-3025 transcribed onto the i-693a. costs around $40 to do so. if you don't have a copy of the ds-3025, try to contact the dr that did the exam to get one. otherwise, you'll need to beg the border agents to make a copy for you.

eta: you will get the i-94 on the plane - keep that as you'll need it to file for aos, ssn, etc. don't let them keep it at the poe!

Ohh yes I have a simple copy of the vaccionations papper. Is that the ds-3025 ? ... that a simple photocopy ...

Thanks

that's it! you just take that to a civil surgeon listed on the uscis website, they will give you a sealed envelope to include with your aos paperwork.
remember to keep that i-84. don't let the poe keep it, otherwise it will run you about $160 (and more forms) to get it replaced.
Martin
you mean keep the I-94 ... ok I will, thank you very much !!
