I've been reading a lot about the I-134 form and have read about people going to interviews and not be approved (yet) because they're missing something.
Could those brasileira/os me ajudam por favor?
I have the I-134 already signed and notarized, a letter from my employer, the contract from the new school year, tax returns from the past 3 years ('03-'05), and my W2s for 2005 and 2006.
I don't have my W2s for 2004, do I need those for Brazil? (I know each consulate is different).
Also, my bank has yet to give me the letter that I asked for, but I have the paper work from when I opened up my account. Should I include something from my bank?
I earn a teacher's salary so it is enough above the poverty guidelines that I'm not concerned about that aspect. But I do want to be safe.
Oh yea, do I have to sign the I-134 in blue ink?
Thanks!
charles!

last i knew of, you only need the last year's tax return. sign in black ink always. the letter from the bank won't hurt so get it.

hey Bora Bora...

I went to my interview with almost all that you have... I included also the last 3 pay stubs...
if they didn't change anything, Brazil only asks for the last tax return
we didn't include any bank information because we were above the poverty guidelines, so I guess it is not really necessary if you have the rest (tax return, pay stubs, employer letter)
and sign everything with blue ink... with black , they'll think it is a copy wink.gif

I remember I didn't even have a black ink pen and I had to buy because he insisted I had to sign everything in black ink. But I'm here now and everything went ok, so that means the black ink worked for us good.gif
LiszyandKenny
hihih.. we did all in blue.. so that means either color works tongue.gif

oh no wacko.gif hahaha
Well, since I'm going to the interview I can wait and sign the forms in front of the consular, with the exception of I-134 which I can have 2 copies - one in black, the other in blue.
I don't think that will matter too much because I'll be there. We can do it again if we have to, right?
I have pay stubs too - I forgot to include that I'll be taking those.
So I don't need to call the IRS and ask for my W2s for 2003 and 2004, right?
Thanks so much!!!

Meredith.. I am not really sure about this.. but do you want send them an e-mail asking about that ?

of course there is always plan c......copy all of the documents before you sign then, then sign all of them. that way you always have an original signature...

You have all been great! - Thanks.
I'm waiting for them to answer my last 2 e-mails regarding our interview date so once I have that response I'll ask them.
That is a good idea to contact them.

This process makes me blink.gif wacko.gif

Brazil Consulate told me to bring most current year Tax return & W2, I-134 notarized, letter from employer. I gave Fernanda pay stubs also. Because my income exceeds guidelines, Consulate said I did not need bank statements. I signed the I-134 in BLACK ink. Guess we will just have to see what happens at Interview!
