I read and agreed...... the sanitation there is an issue....I saw something not mentioned but I would not dare ohmy.gif scare anyone!!!!!! Sad thing about it..... Nigeria is a very tropical place with some breath taking views!!!!! I got to take the scenic route from the West to the East.

Enjoyed the website. However, I must agree to disagree with one of your statements regarding the trash. We have people who throw things out the window; however, we have a system to help off set the trash. For example, prisioners and volunteers get out and work the side of streets and roads to make it better. Also, we pay taxes to provide the pretty little flowers and street signs. In addition, the taxes we pay before we even see our check goes towards garbage collections. So you see it wouldn't really matter if 1 person through a bottle out the window 365 days a year. The system is not there in Nigeria(well depends on what part you are in like the Island-that is a clean place!!) The government is screwed up majorly!!! However, Nigeria has the potential to be just as powerful as the USA. The are one of the top producers of oil for God's sake!! I have never met a Nigerian who prefers Nigeria over America. Nigeria is a place like no other. I love that place & when I am able to get some money...I am going to go live there!!! (In the good/clean area of course)

Let me know if you would like to add some pictures of the trash to your website....I took a few of them myself because I couldn't believe it!! & the "phone booths".

Exiting the soap box...thank you!!! tongue.gif

Sorry...Mean Never seen a Nigerian that prefers America over Nigeria. Also, did anyone check out those chickens? I have never in my life seen a chicken look both ways before crossing the road. Those chickens behave like humans....they were so funny!!

Absolutely,

Any extra photos are welcome ! Yes I agree on the chickens and the goats.LOL.......

Nigeria is a wonderful place and I too would love to be there, but the economy keeps me away except for small trip, but that also keeps it a special place in my heart.

I agree Nigeria has the power to help the growth and prosperity of its own country,I know it has changed alot since 2000 but I can only pray it gets a great idealist for a president to move it forward even more.

There is much more I seen but sometimes only photos can show others who havent been there,..........I tried to explain the roads (pot holes) and the check points but taking photos of thoses are risky.

Have you ever tried to explain to Nigerians (Our Loves) that we dont have huge pot holes or police check points, how about explaining snow LOL.............This whole experience has been a change for everyone but most of all its made it exciting and I personally cant wait to take my Love to Las Vegas with all the glits and glam!

Please feel free to forward Nigerian Photos that you would like to share with the rest of the world !

Thanks and I am so glad you enjoyed the sight !

Hey Zeborah007,

Have a safe trip back to naija land!!!!!! Something you posted reminded me of an experience I had at one of these check points. I am so glad we do not have those police check points in America no0pb.gif no0pb.gif -never seened anything like it, we even got stopped and taken to the police station at one of those check points. I was afraid because they were going to make me go down to the station in a seperate car with female office, I procceded to crying.gif, I WAS LIKE NO WAY!!!!!. They are the only two people that I know in the whole Nigeria so, they let us all go together. I was traveling with Fiance, and brother in law. WOW!!!!! I was shocked at first but decided at that very moment this was not going to ruin my trip. As this happened the very next morning after my arrival, our very first outing. The first thing I said when I arrived at the police station "I have been in this world 35 years and have never seen the inside of a police station" my first outing in Nigeria and I end up at police station. GREAT!!!! I turned a potential negative experience into a very positive experience and even made some friends along the way!!!!! I was like they will never hound my Sweetheart here. He will always be rembered thru me!!!!! If he ever has a problem in Lagos, I know he can call on them and they will help him. I still get calls from one of the policemen this very day!!!!! I for surely would love to see a change happen, it would be for the better of the people.

Enjoy your trip!!!!!!!
Robin
