Has this been done before?
Lord I hope not.
But it comes off a current Off-Topic thread so I thought it might be interesting!
Enjoy.

Nuts. If the answer is NO for you in either category, you're gonna have to check OTHER in that category. I semi-mucked up my questions. Sorry.

I wasn't looking for a foreigner, but I thought it would be an interesting perk if he was.

Ever since I was little I always said that I wanted to have mixed babies (half black/white). I wasn't really looking for a particular ethnic group, I just made a singles ad to kill some time. However I was lucky enough to have found Marlon and despite some rather interesting cultural differences, we were definitely made for each other!

I had no intentions on marrying a foreigner....I always thought that I would get stuck with some nerdy american dude, the thought never crossed my mind.
But I just happened to fall for a Jamaican.....they are very charming guys

I never had any intentions of seeking out a foreign born spouse. It just happened that I fell in love with my Canadian.

In my case, it's the opposites attract (physically).
As I've mentioned in another post, although I find both Scarlett Johansson and Beyonce gorgeous, if I had my pick it would be Beyonce.
Other celebrities that I am most attracted to... (tend to be more voluptuous....badonka-donk and all that...grrrr)
Salma Hayek
Jennifer Lopez
Rosario Dawson

Tyra Banks
Sade

It was hard for me to vote in this poll. I wasn't really looking for anyone or anything when I met my fiance. What I did know is that I wanted my mate to share my background. I guess it was just fate that we are the same background. He wasn't looking either and it just kinda happened.
My previous marriage was to someone that was a different nationality than me and it didn't work out for many reasons, one of the most important being the difference in nationality. We got married 4 months before Sept 11 and after that he started looking at arabs in a different light. I wouldn't say he was being racist but he wanted to be as far away from it as possible, he even indicated he didn't want our kids to learn to speak arabic. I couldn't deal with that, it was just hard for me to build a relationship and family with someone who didn't want to accept that part of my life.

I was not specifically looking for a foreign mate, and actually didn't wnat to fall for someone who was living abroad. But I did notice that most of my prospects were either Chinese or Philipino, so I guess that's what I really wanted afterall.

I did not go looking for a man different nationality, but I am:
Attracted to the physical appearance of a certain ethnic group (my husband's ethnic group
Attracted to the values of a certain culture
Religious reasons (Not too many people of my nationality have the same religion as me now)
My family was/is appalled. But I donnot care.

I wasn't really looking for anyone, let alone an American.
That was almost 6 years ago and now I can't imagine my life without her !!
