Hi all,

After I got the NOA2, I was never notified by the NVC that they received my packet or that they sent it to the consulate. My fiance was here visiting with me for the holidays and when he got back there was a letter from Jan 9 from the consulate saying they had the petition and giving him instructions. How can I fill in my timeline?

I've been calling that NVC number but the automated guy keeps telling me that all operators are busy and he sends me to the main menu, and then he hangs up on me. I can't afford to call that number 100 times when I am not allowed to actually speak to anyone and their automated service is useless.

If the consulate already has the petition, why do you need to ctc the NVC???

Awww Mairzy that's sweet and very considerate of you...........don't beat yourself up trying. No one expects your dates to be dead on.

It was the same for me.
I e-mailed them and asked them for dates. I know they're not exact but I used those to fill in my timeline and made a note.
That's nice of you.

Wow, that's very thoughtful of you to make such an effort. An estimate is fine, tho.
