my friend is currently dating a man who has a syrian passport (they are both in armenia together right now) she has to return to the US.... but she loves him but is not ready to commit to marriage. is there a way she can realistically get him here without the k-1 or k-3 visa?
rahma
Unless he finds a business to sponsor him, or gets accepted to a university and gets a student visa, nope no0pb.gif

he can always try to get a tourist visa to visit, but no guarantee on that (or any type of visa, really).

For Syria, I doubt it. Omar's friend tried to come here on a medical visa, with well documented need, and was deneid. And if they are thinking they might marry in the future, best not to have the denied tourist visa on his record. That was the word from two immigration atty's anyways.

Unless he is a rich and famous person with many many ties or he needs some type of medical treatment only done in the US (and has the money to pay for it) there is NO way!

yeha.... i figured that. syria isn't the best country to have a passport from. you can't get much worse!

i think she should just go ahead with the k-1 but she's afraid and not ready for marriage yet, but loves him. tough situation for her!
