My fiancée entered the US last week. Her POE was JFK. She asked and received what the immigration officials told her was a temporary work authorization stamp on her I-94 card.

Here is the thing. The pink stamp does not have any readable text that indicates that it is an authorization to work. Should it? What should it say? Does anyone have an example of what this stamp should look like?

In its current state I don’t think this stamp would prove work authorization to any employer.

I couldnt read mine either, its just looked like a red line of something ,but it was accepted for the employment that i found...not sure whether all employers would accept it though.
